(DISCLAIMER. THIS IS A THEORY AND IS OPEN TO CRITICISM. ALL ERRORS, GRAMMATICAL, NARRATIVE OR OTHERWISE ARE UNINTENTIONAL!)
Where on earth is Noah's Ark? Was it really an "ark" in the first place ?
Or was it something totally unique , special, something people wouldn't have even dreamed about?
Of course there is the biblical version ,the present day bible's interpretation, to be precise. This version tells us that Noah built a wooden boat and carried a pair of all animals on earth.
Given the dimensions of the ark as mentioned in the bible , Noah's story has become a historic impossibility. And really , for want of better understanding , people have been explaining it away as a metaphor , an idea ,a parable and so on.
The joke is, Noah was real. And so was the ark. so real , so SOLID , that you can see it for yourself.
In fact Noah's ark was a SIGN to ALL MANKIND.
54:15. "We have left it (the Ark) as a SIGN. Does any of you wish to learn?"
29:15 "We saved him (Noah), and the people of the ship, and we set it up (the Ark) as a SIGN for all the people."
This verse is the real clue to solve the whole mystery.
If you read the Qur'an carefully you will find that every evil place God destroyed , there has been a remnant or ruin which God has left as a sign. We have found the ruins of AAD, THAMUD,MIDIAN . But what about Noah's community?
Isn't it strange that While Qur'an states the places to which Hud, Saleh and Shuyeb were sent , Noah's place isn't mentioned?
Isn't it also strange that Noah's story itself is unparalleled in history?
A huge flood, the geological evidence of which is overwhelming; a great legend, whose remnants are found in all cultures of the world; how can something so big be left out of the final testament?
It isn't.
Then why are people unable to find the SOLID proof which Noah brought to his people and which God says HE HAS SET IT UP AS A SIGN?
The problem is, as Sherlock Holmes put it, "My dear Watson. Sometimes people fail to look at the obvious."
To be precise people have been missing the wood for the trees.
Yes. The whole problem is the wrong understanding of the MATERIAL Noah's ARK which people think is WOOD .
Right, lets get to the heart of the problem.
This gross misunderstanding in the story of Noah comes from the Mis-interpretation of the word "ALwaah" which is used in (54:13) as "Wooden Logs".
Let us examine the meaning of this word from GOD's very own Book:
7:145. We wrote for him (Moses) on the TABLETS (ALWAAH) all kinds of enlightenments and details of everything: "You shall uphold these teachings strongly, and exhort your people to uphold them- these are the best teachings. I will point out for you the fate of the wicked."
7:150 When Moses returned to his people, angry and disappointed, he said, "What a terrible thing you have done in my absence! Could you not wait for the commandments of your Lord?" He threw down the TABLETS (ALWAAH), and took hold of his brother's head, pulling him towards himself. (Aaron) said, "Son of my mother, the people took advantage of my weakness, and almost killed me. Let not my enemies rejoice, and do not count me with the transgressing people."
7:154 When Moses's anger subsided, he picked up the TABLETS (ALWAAH), containing guidance and mercy for those who reverence their Lord.
As can be seen, the "Alwaah" in which Moses received the 10 commandments when he went up to the Mountain to speak with GOD was NOT a "Wooden" plaque, but stone tablets containing the very word of GOD.
Also, this material "Alwaah" is the very same that was used to build the Ark of Noah:
54:13. We carried him on a craft made of "ALWAAH" and Morter <Dusur>.
The ark Noah built "under God's watchful eyes" was not made of wood but STONE. This is what we should be looking for as a "Sign" left for our kind:
54:15. We have left it (the Ark) as a SIGN. Does any of you wish to learn?
29:15 "We saved him (Noah), and the people of the ship, and we set it up (the Ark) as a SIGN for all the people."
Besides, people have a mistaken belief that Noah was sent to a primitive society. And the boat he built was the first one. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Myths About Noah's People:
1. It is often assumed that Noah's people were in-land and thus the ridicule from his people was because he was building a Ship where there was "no water"!.
This MYTH is quickly dispelled by the following evidence:
11:42 "As it sailed with them in waves like MOUNTAINS, Noah called his son, who was isolated: 'O my son, come ride with us; do not be with the disbelievers."
For waves (like mountains) to approach the place where Noah and his people were could only mean that an Ocean was nearby where large amount could be dispelled and form waves (either through an object striking the water causing displacement OR severe whether conditions).
2. It is also mistakenly assumed that Noah's people may have ridiculed him because they had never seen a ship before and that his was the FIRST ever!.
Again, we have not to look to far to dispel this myth:
29:15 "We saved him (Noah), and THE PEOPLE OF THE SHIP, and we set it up (the Ark) as a SIGN for all the people."
Noah had been preaching his people for nearly 1,000 years (29/14), thus when the time came and the Ark sailed...Noah picked-up people from a nearby Ship which would have surely perished from the waves.
The phrase "People of the Ship" is very distinct from Noah who was saved and those with him (10/73). This verse indicates a clue from our Lord that Ship building was a "known art" at the time of Noah.
3. Noah's people were primitive!.
The Qur'an also gives us plenty of hints that Noah's society was ULTRA MODERN. Yes, more advanced then even our own global civilization.
[11:37] "Build the ark under our watchful eyes, and with our inspiration, and do not implore Me on behalf of those who have transgressed; they are destined to drown."
I don't think a wooden boat will be given such importance as for God to say "our watchful eyes" and"our inspiration". After all, if we examine "primitive" cultures who have developed on isolated Islands or other remote places with NO interaction with any "civilized" human, we will find that they quickly know how to build a wooden Canoe or even boat (it does not take a genius to work out that wood floats!).
We as Muslims should never UNDERESTIMATE the gift of "knowledge" (Ruh) which GOD has bestowed our species...
Now , here are some more hints. The people were MOCKING NOAH WHEN HE WAS BUILDING THE ARK. Now, why on earth would they do that?
[11:38] While he was building the ark, whenever some of his people passed by him they laughed at him. He said, "You may be laughing us, but we are laughing at you, just as you are laughing.
Noah warned the people that the flood would soon overtake them and he is building a FLOATING OBJECT to prevent the believers from being drowned under God's command.
Is it possible that the ark Noah was building didn't seem like it would float? after all ever heard of stone float?
In fact , Qur'an says,
[11:41] He said, "Come on board. In the name of GOD shall be its sailing, and its mooring. My Lord is Forgiver, Most Merciful."
Note: God was guiding the ark. Noah said"in the name of God shall be its sailing" because that was the only way the unassailable could sail. Noah was even asked to say SPECIFIC WORDS in order to ride the watercraft.
[23:28] "Once you are settled, together with those who are with you, on the watercraft, you shall say, `Praise GOD for saving us from the evil people.'
[23:29] "And say, `My Lord, let me disembark onto a blessed location; You are the best deliverer.' "THAT WAS THE TEST.Noah's ark was SOLID proof from God.
It was a great miracle.The impossible was going to happen. After all , with God , everything is possible.
[23:30] These should provide sufficient proofs for you. We will certainly put you to the test.
But the people couldn't believe that it could float. In fact even when the flood was building up Noah's "son" refused to ride with Noah. He was confident that he could escape to the hills.
[11:42] As it sailed with them in waves like mountains, Noah called his son, who was isolated: "O my son, come ride with us; do not be with the disbelievers."
[11:43]He said, "I will take refuge on top of a hill, to protect me from the water." He said, "Nothing can protect anyone today from GOD's judgment; only those worthy of His mercy (will be saved)." The waves separated them, and he was among those who drowned.
NOTE: proof for Noah's advanced civilization.
1] How did Noah communicate with his "son" when there was noise from WAVES LIKE MOUNTAINS ? was there wireless communication?
2] Why was Noah's "son" so confident he could "beat the waves"in such a short time? Did he have advanced water transport utilities?
3] How was it that people were not surprised when Noah was building with stone but only mocking?was building with heavy stones so easy at that time that Noah and his small group could do it so easily? [that was the solid proof for Noah]
Now, geological evidence stipulates that the flood occurred around 10,500BC. So, Noah must have lived around that same time period.
Is there any object made of "ALwaah" that is 10,500 years old and is still standing today?
The GREAT PYRAMID IN GIZA.
Common belief was that the Great Pyramid in Giza (the largest of three) was constructed by the Pharaohs around 5,000 B.C. and erected as a tomb for "Khofu". This belief has been shattered since the early 1980's with ground breaking research that dates all 3 Pyramids and the Sphinx much longer back in time to 10,450 B.C.
The shape of the Pyramid is IDEAL to resist force from ABOVE AND BELOW.
The waters of the flood came from above and below and even subsided in the same way.
[54:11] We then opened the gates of the sky, pouring water.
[54:12] And we caused springs to gush out of the earth. The waters met to effect a predetermined decision.Still, what about the animals?
23:27] We then inspired him: "Make the craft under our watchful eyes, and in accordance with our inspiration. When our command comes, and the fissure boils up, put on it a pair of every kind , and your family, except those condemned to be doomed. Do not speak to Me on behalf of those who transgressed; they will be drowned.
The simple fact is that Noah took the DNA of all animals . He was given special knowledge by God. In Noah's society[Atlantis] genetic technology had reached an advanced stage. proof:the sphinx a genetically modified animal. age:10,500BC. It is the RUIN left from Atlantis.
The other 2 pyramids were scientific laboratories from which Noah had to clone the animals from the DNA.No wonder he lived so long! [isn't it a wonder that Qur'an states the age of NOAH ONLY AND NOT ANY OTHER PROPHET?]
One Last Clue!
This final point may be pure speculation, but a very interesting term used in the Qur'an to describe the Ark is:
36:41-42 "Another sign for them is that we carried their ancestors on the CHARGED ark (Fulk Mash'hoon). And We created for them from its like for them to ride in."
The word "Mash'hoon" is used in Arabic for items which are "Charged" or "Powered" (like electricity or ions). It would therefore not be too far fetched to assume that the "Ark" was able to generate internal power as its mode of propulsion (some theories have suggested that the Pyramid was able to take-in water (H2O) and split the two elements to generate UNLIMITED POWER from Hydrogen!.
I request everyone to please read all the verses with reference to Noah in the Qur'an again in light of the knowledge given above and all things insha Allah will be made perfectly clear.
