so why is hell even mentioned if everybody would just keep returning to learn and grow more and not make mistakes...
then they would all go to heaven, there would be no hell...
but it is mentioned that hell exists and people will enter it

Nerspi I'm not sure what you're talking about. Sure there is punishment for beings in the quran. From an occult perspective all eventually unite with No-Thing, i.e. Perfect Peace Profound, the Unmanifest, the source of all possibility. The divine sparks here gain experience and seek to unite with that from which all came.

As I understand the reincarnation doctrine, people do so because they need to grow spiritually. Those who fail are sent back to do so. There comes a point where the person simply is destroyed and their energies are put to other use. They are recycled in Da'ath.

Joe

i was talking about this what you said here. i heard that too from people, those who fail are sent back (which goes against 23:99,100), and they say they're sent back (reincarnated) so many times until they learn their lesson, so they  would not go to hell, in fact, if everybody did that, got reincarnated and came back, they would all learn their lesson eventually and all would go to heaven, nobody would go to hell, at least that's what i heard from people who believe in reincarnation, (but that goes against what quran says).

Indeed, totally different doctrines. There is also an assumption among some muslims that Hell is temporary and eventually these people will be sent to heaven, although a 2nd Earth is also a possibility. Heaven itself is seemingly a place of advancement as well.  :)

peace nerspi,,

heaven and hell can also be seen allegorically as states of mind right here on earth

umm... ok, that's also a possibility,

but it mentions many times they will be in hell after death, they will find that out on judgement day (which would be after they die), and sometimes it says they will have it bad here on earth and after death (on both sides).

true.

It is also said you can't go back to the former life to make things up but does that mean you don't go back at all or just not to the previous life to make up ?

So many things can be interpreted in different ways...

yes, but i look at other verses too, and if i came to a conclusion that there is such thing as reincarnation, i would notice a contradiction. so i try to understand it so that it fits all things mentioned about the issue.
but since some say it's wrong for me to come to any concluions i like to listen to what others say.

Peace nerspi,

why should it be wrong to come to a conclusion ? It's a good thing though to continue listening as no conclusion needs to be final.

well tell that to them (hf). i have come to quite a few conclusions myself and after i checked, i was right, so i don't see a problem here either.
but spending a lot of time with them (hf), they scared me, saying that coming to conclusions yourself without checking with someone who's knowledgable is just folloing desires and looking for verses to back up what you want to believe.

but based on what i've seen, i'm sure there's no reincarnation.
if anyone has any quranic verses proving there is, i'd like to see it.
