Stepehn King 'Dark Tower' Series and the number 19

I haven't read a Stephen King novel in ages, nor have I read or followed any of his seven book series, The Dark Tower, but I just found out that he used the number 19 to tie in characters and events and the number 19 is the mysterious key number in the Dark Tower saga.
