Would appreciate if you could share a dictionary or grammar book where you have Althaqama as a complete verb in itself. Thanks!

Salam...
.see even Lane.. It's root is Lam Qaf Meem...

Infront of Verb a definite article is impossible...
Just research.. No one is needed ask Allah.. He is enough... It's His book... Is  there anyone better than Him to explain His book?
Thank you...

Dear Jkhan!

Thank you for your effort. I was able to find the root word لَقَم in Lane's Lexicon. I have further found that the whole event of fish swallowing is just a made-up event by the traditional translators. In sha Allah! soon I will share my findings here. I don't know if this topic has already been discussed here. Would appreciate if someone could share a link where Jonah and swallowing by a fish is discussed.

Peace!

Just don't rush... Carefully explore... Perhaps Allah has shown you something... If instead of fish or whale you replace something else then surely it could be some other event... Anyway you were stuck with grammar and now turning the table... But who knows you may have point...
In my case honestly I don't know whether fish or whale of any other creature swallowed him or even depth of sea (whirlpool / vortex) swallowed him... No idea until Allah guides me.. I don't even research... Coz I am these days focussing on main corruptions..

Being with evidebce your claim.. In sha Allah let's see what your point is.  .

Thank you...

Salam..
I have to remind you and all... Though I didn't research and get confirmed, as of now my current understanding whenever I read this verse is whirlpool swallowed him... I never believed that fish swallowed him and I never accept it..
Even the day sabath I dont believe fish is connected there.. They just leave it as sabath untranslated and I don't like... Sabath must have a meaning. And for me sabath is motionless / calm / rest from work(sailing) totally connected with sea...
Perhaps this community which lied on the shores of sea had a habit of sacrificing human whenever they sail and encounter huge whirlpools ... cannot conclude but there is something hidden in their story..
And the strong reason I don't accept fish swallowed is Allah said Younus would remain in the belly of it (fish if taken) until day of judgement... That's weird for me.. Belly of sea I take.. It means in my understanding dark areas of sea in extreme depth waves upon waves.. No fish is gonna live until day of judgement..

To conclude need absolute research.. But I am not in to it at the moment.. But in my life I never accepted fish swallowed and I don't have any reason to accept that story... Swallow / engulf is undeniably there in Quran verse.. But not necessary to take it as fish swallowed... But I am happy with my understanding of the verse until Allah guides me when I indeed research on it with intent..

Thank you...
