Does it matter anymore if slavery was abolished at once or in steps? What truly matters is that in today's modern world, it is universally recognized as inhuman to have slaves, whether from an Islamic point of view or not. Future generations of humanity are increasingly inclined towards a secular code of conduct, and perhaps 1000+ years from now, religious books might become a thing of the past, replaced by new codes or world orders.
Looking forward, I believe that the new world order could be based on equality, irrespective of religion or caste, and will likely embrace new concepts such as LGBTQ+ rights. How morally aligned this future society will be with the ideals of God is a significant question???
Alternatively, humanity might face wars and disintegration, potentially regressing to a stone age-like existence.
In essence, a form of slavery still prevails in many aspects of practical life today, in almost every country. The "yes sir" or "yes boss" concept in offices and the job system, which is rooted in capitalism, has made many people slaves to loans and mortgages. This form of economic bondage can be far more dangerous than being a slave to another person.
Imre and Waqas, regardless of the historical details, we can agree that the spirit of the Quran promotes justice, equality, and the ultimate freedom of individuals. In today's context, these values are crucial as we strive towards a more just and humane society.
Greetings and love.
