Quran and Light

(My Turkish article translated with machine)

24:35 God is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which there is a lamp, the lamp is encased in a glass, the glass is like a radiant planet, which is lit from a blessed olive tree that is neither of the east nor of the west, its oil nearly gives off light even if not touched by fire. Light upon light, God guides to His light whom He pleases. And God sets forth examples for the people, and God is aware of all things.

A clear analogy is made here, and the meaning of this analogy is clearly given in the Qur'an.

But some pantheists try to interpret this verse in line with their own beliefs.

Even though it is clearly stated in another verse that those who do this are deviant people:

6:1 Praise be to God who has created the heavens and the earth, and Who made the darkness and the light; yet those who have rejected their Lord continue to deviate.

It is clearly stated in the verse that light is something created, like the other elements of the universe. In this way, the common runners who try to see these creatures as a part of Allah are once again deciphered. The interesting thing is that despite all these detailed explanations, many people are still competing with each other to do the same thing.

71:16 "And He made the moon to illuminate in them, and He made the sun to be a lamp?"
(Here, too, light is used to mean physical light)

----------------- -------

Now let's come to the interpretation of the analogy made in the 35th verse of Nur, again by the Qur'an:

9:32 They want to extinguish the light of God with their mouths, but God refuses such and lets His light continue, even if the rejecters hate it.

14:1 ALR, a Book which We have sent down to you so that you may bring the people out of the darkness and into the light with the permission of their Lord, to the path of the Noble, the Praiseworthy

61:8 They want to extinguish the light of God with their mouths. But God will continue with His light, even if the rejecters hate it.

64:8 Therefore, you shall believe in God and His messenger, and the light that We have sent down. And God is Expert over all that you do.

65:11 A messenger who recites to you the revelations of God, which are clear, to lead those who believe and work righteousness out of the darkness into the light. Anyone who believes in God and does good works, He will admit him into estates with rivers flowing beneath them; abiding therein eternally. God has granted for him an excellent reward.

When we look at all the verses in which the light is given by analogy; light is salvation, it is the way and knowledge that leads to salvation (to heaven-to Allah's consent), and it is the one who offers the way with this knowledge (Already, in daily life, physically, light, that is, light, allows us to see the truth and thus walk on the road).

It is our Creator who offers this way to His servants. This presentation takes place in the form of verses, the Book, and therefore Islam.

The verses in the universe, the verses given to us in our creation, the verses that came through the prophets, etc. It is always the light of Allah and it is everywhere in the earth and in the sky, because Allah's signs are everywhere.

In this context, it is Allah who presents the real light. Because He is the source of the path and knowledge that leads to salvation. In short, it is God who brings salvation.

Since the first man and the messenger Adam, the same religion, the same way of salvation, that is, Islam (the general line from worship to belief system is always the same). As people persistently degenerate religion and change books, our Lord has sent Islam, the same light, through his messengers.

Since the last book, the Qur'an, is under protection, the process of bringing a new prophet and book has stopped. Until the Day of Judgment, the Qur'an

39:69 And the earth will shine with the light of its Lord, and the record will be placed, and the prophets and the witnesses will be brought forth; and it will then be judged between them with the truth, and they will not be wronged.

42:52 And thus, We inspired to you a revelation of Our command. You did not know what was the Book, nor what was faith. Yet, We made this a light to guide whoever We wish from among Our servants. Surely, you guide to a straight path.

Again, light is used to mean guiding, leading to eternal salvation in the hereafter.

And let's repeat, the Qur'an gives the best answer to those who look for a basis for their pantheistic beliefs by looking at the verses in which light is used as a spiritual guide and light that brings salvation:

6:1 Praise be to God who has created the heavens and the earth, and Who made the darkness and the light; yet those who have rejected their Lord continue to deviate.

As can be seen, those who sanctify the physical light in the universe are in shirk.

Those who try to attribute holiness to the light or anything else that has been created, to associate partners, are again hitting the wall of the verses.

And those who tumble over and over to worship the creatures and themselves, either with the mask of pantheism or other masks, are already members of the opposite teaching of Islam.

According to the Qur'an, Almighty Allah created all His creatures apart from Himself, that is, out of nothing. And that's why shirk is forbidden.

Peace

Nobody has got ghost according to Quran

Unlike the traditional Islamic doctrine which is under the influence of sects and hadith fabrications, in the real Islamic doctrine of the Quran people have NO ghosts/ souls/ spirits. People do NOT have a divine component, a soul, a spirit nor a ghost.

Everything created in the universe is material, physical and real, NOT an illusion. (for example the first man Adam was made from clay element and the jinn was made from fire element)

Heaven and Hell are NOT mental delusions. They are "physical" places created in another universe.

Unfortunately, terms such as soul- spirit (an immortal divine component, a ghost that can exist on its own without the body even after death) have succeed to enter Islam due to wrong translations -which are made under the influence of hadith fabrications- and Islamic mysticism (sufism). But in the original text of the Quran (Arabic version), they are NOT available.
In the Quran, people have "nafs", which is the equivalent of "life energy", "ego", "character". People are born, they die and they will be "physically" recreated in the Hereafter:

Does the human being think that We will not gather his bones? Indeed, We were able to make his fingertips (The Resurrection, 75: 3-4)

As also can be seen in the verses, people do NOT have souls/ spirits, they only have "nefs", which dies together with the bodily functions. And as again can be understood from the verses "most" of the people will be recreated in the Judgment Day. We use the word "most" because there are some exceptions. The Quran gives the examples of very meritorious people, such as martyrs or prophets and on the other edge some deadly sinners, such as the Pharaoh who committed outrage to his people.

These exceptional people have already started to reap what they have sown. They are either rewarded in Heaven (physically) or punished in Hell (physically).

Examples to the righteous who go to Heaven immediately after their death:

· Do not count that those who are killed in the sake of God are dead. No, they are alive at their Lord receiving provisions. Happy with what God has granted them from His favor, and they rejoice for those who have yet to follow them. There is no fear over them nor do they grieve. (The Family of Imran, 3: 169-170)

· A man came running from the farthest part of the city, saying: "O my people, follow the messengers. Follow those who do not ask you for any wage, and are guided. Why should I not serve the One who initiated me, and to Him is your ultimate return? Shall I take gods besides Him? If the Gracious intends any harm for me, their intercession cannot help me in the least, nor can they save me. Then I would be clearly astray. I have acknowledged your Lord, so listen to me! It was said, "Enter Paradise." He said "Oh, how I wish my people only knew of what my Lord has forgiven me, and made me of the honored ones."We did not send down upon his people after him soldiers from the sky; for there was no need to send them down. For all it took was one scream, whereupon they were stilled. (36:20-29)

Example to the disbelievers who committed "deadly" sins and tyranny:

· So God protected him from the evil of what they schemed, while the people of Pharaoh have incurred the worst retribution. The fire, which they will be exposed to morning and evening, and on the day when the moment is established: "Admit the people of Pharaoh into the most severe of the retribution." (The Believer, 40: 45-46)

And the following verses refer to the common/ordinary people, possibly the majority of the disbelievers:

· The horn will be blown, whereupon they will rise from the graves rushing towards their Lord. They will say, "Woe to us. Who has resurrected us from our resting place? This is what the Gracious had promised. The messengers were truthful!" (Ya sin, 36: 51-52)

In the Quran the word "Spirit" only refers to the "Holy Ghost/Spirit" and to the messages It brought. For example:

We gave Moses the book, and after him, We sent the messengers. Later We gave Jesus son of Mary the clear proofs, and We supported Him with the Holy Spirit. Is it that every time a messenger comes to you with what your minds do not desire, you become arrogant? A group of them you deny, and a group of them you kill! (2:87)

Such messengers, We have preferred some to others; some of them talked to God, and He raised some of them in ranks, and We gave Jesus son of Mary the proofs and We supported him with the Holy Spirit. Had God wished, the people after them would not have fought after the proofs had come to them, but they disputed, some of them acknowledged and some of them did not appreciate. Had God wished they would not have fought, but God does whatever He wishes. (2:253)

God said, "O Jesus son of Mary, recall My blessings upon you and your mother that I supported you with the Holy Spirit; you spoke to the people in the cradle and in old age; and I taught you the book and the wisdom, and the Torah, and the Injeel; and you would create from clay the shape of a bird, then blow into it and it becomes a bird by My leave; and you heal the blind and the leper by My leave; and you brought out the dead by My leave. I have restrained the Children of Israel from you, that you came to them with proofs; but those who rejected amongst them said, "This is an obvious magic!" (5:110)

He sends down the angels with the Spirit by His command upon whom He wishes of His servants: "That you shall warn that there is no god but I, so be aware of Me." (16:2)

They ask you concerning the Spirit. Say, "The Spirit is from the command of my Lord, and the knowledge you were given was but very little." (17:85)
It was sent down with the trusted Spirit. (26:193)

Possessor of the highest ranks, the One with the Throne. He sends the Spirit with His command upon whom He wills from His servants, so that they may warn of the day of Summoning. (40:15)

You will not find any people who acknowledge God and the Last day befriending those who oppose God and His messenger, even if they were their parents, or their children, or their siblings, or their tribe. For these, He decrees trust into their hearts, and supports them with a Spirit from Him, and He admits them into paradises with rivers flowing beneath, wherein they will abide. God is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. These are the party of God. Most assuredly, the party of God are the winners. (58:22)

The day when the Spirit and the angels stand in line, none will speak unless the Gracious permits him and he speaks what is true. (78:38)

Some dangers of thinking that people have spirits/ souls:

- Having a belief that people have spirits often leads up to the sanctification of the humans. It leads people to associate himself / herself with God.

- It also contributes to building up a strong belief of spiritual evolution. As a result of this false belief, in order to evolve spiritually, people praise suffering and pain. When they encounter a disastrous situation, instead of getting out of it, they welcome it and take it as a reward. However, according to the Quran, the bad things that come to us are either to test us or a result of our sins, our own malignancy.

- Spiritualists regard life as a school where we, as students, learn and mature. These people maintain that suffering / pain is a must for spiritual evolution. Thus, it turns the evil into hidden heroes having a special (key) role in the spiritual evolution process. Those who can read between the lines can easily realize that it glorifies the evil (even Satan). Also spiritualists
tolerate the immoral behaviors of the ones who are not spiritually evolved (!)

- Belief in the spirits opens the door to reincarnation, which means that we will be different creatures (different gender, different personality, different appearance etc.) in our other lives (!) In other words, it means that a person that dies is gone forever, which is actually a very materialistic point of view again if you read between the lines.

- Some spiritualists think that death is something positive as spirit confined to the physical body will be set free and unite with God and become one. This deviant view also praises suicides.

- People, who believe that people have spirits, mostly swap the belief for the Judgment Day with reincarnation and thus, they reject the belief in reward and punishment in the afterlife and eliminate Heaven and Hell, attributing symbolic meanings to both. In addition, they adopt ascetic lifestyles and scorn the beauties, provisions God gives us (in this world and in the other world).

- People who believe in the spirits are more likely to be cheated by the jinns.

****

And;

1- Spirit is revelation,

2- holy spirit (the angel messenger conveying the message, revelation angel)

3- and revelation book (Quran).

Spirit= revelation.

Let's give examples.

1- Revelation
Quran [15:29] "So when I perfect him, and blow of My Spirit in him, you shall fall prostrate to him."

2- Revelation Angel (Cebrail).
Quran 19:17. Thus, she kept herself in seclusion from people. Then We sent to her Our spirit, and it appeared before her in the form of a perfect man.

3- Revelation Book/Quran
Quran 42:52 And thus We have revealed to you an inspiration of Our command. You did not know what is the Book or [what is] faith, but We have made it a light by which We guide whom We will of Our servants. And indeed, [O Muhammad], you guide to a straight path -

spirit = revelation.
And basic verses in our body like Adam:

Quran 30:30So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth. [Adhere to] the fitrah of Allah upon which He has created [all] people. No change should there be in the creation of Allah . That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know.

We are obliged to direct the truth through the verses inside

What Does "Rabb" Mean?

The One who administers at the level of acts, is the One who forms the level of acts; Allah, the Absolute Being! Because He forms the level of Acts and is the Absolute Administrator of it, He takes the name Rabb.

Rabb means the administrator, trainer, discipliner. But this is nothing like a mother disciplining her child, or a teacher training his student - this kind of approach is like a quicksand. It will only bog you down further into the pit of duality – the dualistic conception of "me and the one who trains and disciplines me... me and a god outside of me..." etc.

So how are we to understand the disciplinary role of the word Rabb?

RABB means the owner of the station of Rububiyyah, which is the compositional qualities denoted by the Names comprising existence and the manifestation of their effects.

When we look at it from this point of view, we will see that your Rabb is no other than the Name composition/divine qualities comprising your essence. However, these divine names express themselves through you in the form of compositions, and this compositional structure is your unique constitution as an individual.

Indeed, in respect to your compositional constitution, the names comprising your essence and their specific proportions, you are a servant of your Rabb. In respect of the attributes of your being and your absolute essence you are not different to or separate from Allah.

Once you get to know your essence and your attributes, you will see that all of the meanings that manifest through you are the results of the divine names, and that's when the path to knowing thyself will be opened to you. Then you will begin to know yourself in terms of your essential being and as the various forms and meanings in existence.

Knowing one's Rabb is knowing 'man' in terms of his compositional constitution.

It is the administration and ruling of Allah that is in full effect behind the seeming form of every human being.

Your Rabb is your unique composition of the Names and meanings of Allah!

Your Rabb and my Rabb are both different and the same! They are different in regard to their compositional constitution, but they are the same in respect to their essence, the essential reality of their compositions.

He who knows his Rabb knows Allah, in regard to His names and meanings. That is, he will know Allah at the level of the Names. However, the name Allah is the totality of all of the levels; Absolute Essence, Attributes, Names, Acts, etc. So, when you know your Rabb you know Allah at the level of the Names.

https://www.ahmedhulusi.org/en/article/what-does-rabb-mean

Houriya

What Does "Rabb" Mean?Even though the meanings of the Names belong to that Essence, you can observe that essence behind the curtain of the Names.

But how about knowing this Essence at the level of the Attributes rather than watching behind the curtain of the Names?

As long as you are confined to your compositional boundary and conditioning, even though you may know your essence at the level of the Attributes you will never go any further than just knowing.

Indeed, he who knows his Rabb knows Allah!

Knowing your Rabb doesn't free you from hell! You must go beyond just knowing; you must overcome the boundaries of your Rabb, i.e. your compositional make-up!

But this is only possible through first knowing your Rabb, then knowing the One denoted by the name Allah, and escaping the limits of your Rabb in compliance with the commands of Allah.

Thus, to become "moralized with the morals of Allah" is to observe and witness that within your constitution and essential reality, there is no other than Allah, and that all the divine names that are manifest in the domain of Acts are in perfect balance, perfect state, and everything is exactly the way it is intended to be.

This observation is only possible after foregoing your delusional individuality, your relative illusory identity, and your sense of "I".

You must witness that there is no other existence besides that of Allah... You must be freed of your delusive conception of 'others' spawned from your conditioned sensory perception, the limited five senses.

You must see that the entire existence is a single wholeness. When someone speaks of the One, the Absolute Reality, you must see that One within your own being. Only then you can experience the reality. Otherwise it is merely knowing, learning, accepting and imitating, no application and experience!

To experience this, to feel this, to observe this at the level of acts, the illusory identity, the 'person' must dissolve! There is no other way around it!

Once the 'inexistence' of the person is understood with certainty, all of the attributes, the temperament, the personal nature pertaining to that program also dissolves.

But without this liberty one cannot experience "unity". First cleanse yourself from your ego-identity, then the meanings of the Names will express themselves through you as actions.

What do we mean by cleansing?

Essentially there is nothing to cleanse, as it doesn't exist in the first place!

The purpose of cleansing yourself from your ego is to balance the meanings that you express. To strengthen the weak expressions and lessen the forceful ones. When the heavy forceful meanings are lessened, you make room for newer expressions to come through!

For example, stinginess is an attribute resulting from the weak expression of a particular meaning. So, when this weak expression is strengthened the resulting output, in this case 'stinginess' is lifted, the person is cleansed from this attribute. In fact, as it strengthens, the opposite quality is produced and the person becomes very benevolent, giving and philanthropic... This process is achieved with the practice of dhikr. Dhikr intercepts the automated brain program and re-programs it.

So how do we express our inactive dormant qualities, strengthen the weak ones, and balance the deficiencies to allow new expressions to take place?

How to become moralized with the morals of Allah?

There are two ways:

1. From the outside in

2. From the inside out

The first is relatively easier to achieve. The most effective way is to find someone, a master, who has already achieved this, and submit to him. Constantly following his orders, doing things that go against your comfort zone, conditionings and egoistic tendencies allows one to move to a higher more refined level. Consequently, new meanings will begin to reveal and express themselves.

"The hue of Allah! And what can be better than being colored with the hue of Allah?"[1]

Houriya

The ego is like the ray of the sun which believes itself separated from the sun and lives in the hell of separation, the duality..

What Does "Rabb" Mean? The second way is much harder to achieve. One must have a very comprehensive and deep contemplative intellectual ability. So that through extensive research and study he can discover the meanings within his essence and take their hue and hence be colored with the hue of Allah.

In order to know thyself, one must first discover and understand the meanings of the known names of Allah and then the infinite unknown names within his own essence...

Any and every action done without consciously knowing why, how and for what purpose it is done, is the outcome of your 'nature', based on your 'program'. And every counter action of a behavior you put forth as your nature, will lead to suffering.

The individual Hell is nothing other than the state of being stuck within the stifling boundaries of one's nature, temperament, conditioning, personality, ego-identity! These constitute the fuel of hellfire. When you act according to someone's make up and temperament you are only fueling their hellfire. Yet due to their programming, they will actually take pleasure in it!

On the other hand, when you invite them to an area that is outside their comfort zone - their deeply ingrained identity program- and ask them to accept certain things that go against their set ways, even though they may at first be extremely discomforted by this, eventually when they start accepting it with tolerance and grace they will have entered the state of paradise. For when one reaches the station of acceptance all suffering will end.

Anything that gives one a sense of internal burning, leads them into a state of suffering or depression is undoubtedly conflicting with their ego-identity and nature, that is, the essential reality of the person is overshadowed by and repressed by these programs.

If and when he can overcome these limitations, he will be free from all suffering and classify as one of "those who are freed from hell while in this world". Otherwise his suffering will not end for a very very long time, neither in this world nor in the hereafter.

The grace and blessings of Allah and the intervention of the Rasul of Allah (saw) is the progression from the state of being the "servant of one's Rabb" to being the "servant of Allah". That is the evolution from the dependency on one's compositional limitations, the restriction of his personality and programming, to reaching and experiencing his infinite limitless Self. It is the divine invitation to be freed of one's illusory restraints and experience his authentic reality.

If Allah wills for his servant to taste the grace of infinity, He will allow him to be freed of his captivity to his ego-identity conditioned self, i.e. annihilate his illusory personality ("die before death") and allow him to unite with his essential Self! Thence the servant will unite with Allah!
