All this stupidity of th pseudo-historian called Odon Lafontaine [Olaf] is based in the very flawned work of his mentor, the Christian pastor Edouard-Marie Gallez ''Le Messie et son Prophete", and the book of Orientalist Robert Hoyland "Seeing Islam as others saw".

His thesis is a mixture to Orientalism and willing, but with very serious flaws, based in pseudo-history.

This guy, Olaf, have been debunked by a Salafi convert. Look this video, which he is being challenged by French Salafi Karim al hanifi. It is French.

Recently I came across a youtube post by a person known for his views about hatred of Muslims and in it he talks about the story of Banu Qurayza in Medina (The story of Banu Qurayza, a Jewish tribe living in Medina, is one of the most significant and controversial events in the early history of Islam. It took place in the 7th century AD, during the time of the Prophet Muhammad- Ref: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banu_Qurayza and honestly speaking I cant even quote from this source as some of the events are very graphic and strong).

My understanding is that the Quran forbids the killing of innocent lives, equating it to the killing of all humanity. If I dismiss this story as it originates from hadith books and cannot be considered reliable for clear reasons (for those who view the Quran as the ultimate authority and dismiss all such narratives, and it contradicts the fundamental nature of a Prophet who was sent as a blessing for mankind to command such mass killings), then it seems inconsistent with the teachings.

My question is are there any non-islamic sources which mentioned this event? but lack of contemporary non-Islamic sources does not necessarily disprove the event either.

Any one has any information on this, appreciate to share as this is very disturbing event and yes we all refer to Quran for guidance but we also cant outright rejects history as well if it is documented and supported by independent sources and in this case if not then why hadith writers bother to shoot their own foot by fabricating such an event?

Thank you

Thank you for sharing this thought-provoking perspective. The quest to understand Islam's origins and its historical evolution is indeed a complex and multifaceted endeavor. Your exploration into the hidden history of Islam raises important questions about the perception of the religion and its challenges in contemporary society.

As you highlight, there is an increasing discomfort towards Islam among non-Muslims, reflected in public opinion surveys and media narratives. The issues of doctrinal intolerance, internal conflicts, and challenges with integration are critical aspects that demand thoughtful examination.

Your mention of the reluctance or even prohibition within Muslim communities to engage in critical interpretations and discussions about these issues is particularly noteworthy. It underscores the need for open dialogue and scholarly inquiry to address the complexities and nuances surrounding Islam's history and its contemporary manifestations.

The pursuit of historical truth, free from ideological biases, is essential in gaining a deeper understanding of Islam's origins and its impact on the world today. By delving into historical research and reexamining traditional narratives, we can uncover valuable insights that contribute to a more informed discourse on this important subject.

Thank you for providing the link to explore further into this exploration of the Great Secret of Islam. It offers an opportunity for readers to delve deeper into this fascinating topic and engage in critical reflection on the complexities of religion, history, and society.

That's an incredible story your grandfather shared! The Mughals definitely have a fascinating history full of legends and bravery. While some of these tales may be embellished over time, they reflect the grandeur of that era.
