Deleting good deeds

What's bothering me is the verse number 2, Surat Hujurat:

O you who have believed, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet or be loud to him in speech like the loudness of some of you to others, lest your deeds become worthless while you perceive not.

This is not shirk, or some other big sin (kebire, for which there is punishment mentioned in Quran) but still it seems it will cancel all the good deeds. You can stay away from one thing, but how to stay away from endless stuff that you mistake every day while you don't even pay attention...

Again, it is not a matter that anybody is goin to do anything to you, but that you have to take responsibility for your own development as a person, and every single habit or did shapes you. It is like gminastics. It is not a question that if you do not do it, somebody is going to punish you, but that if you do it and it is the gimnastics appropriate for you, you ger a better body, you prevent many weaknesses, you are in much better shape. Manners and attitudes reflect onyou and others, so it is not a question that God is angry with you and destroyes what you are with a hammer, but you yourself undo yourself and your prospects with your behaviour. You are being informed of that. You elevate your voice over that of the Prophet, you will get looked at as a person who doesn't master him or herself, who has no regard for opportunity o propriety...
Many things said int he Qur'an are "merely" about manners... Manners may be is not the most important but manners shape and set you in your environment.

That verse was a command. It is no longer applicable simply because the Nabi is no longer with us.
 At the time ,the Nabi was bringing them revelation, it was not his fault nor the revelation was his words, arguing with him or shouting at him or raising voices over him would not change a word from GOD. That is why it was necessary for GOD to issue that command:

O you who believe, do not raise your voices above the voice of the prophet,* nor shall you shout at him as you shout at each other, lest your works become nullified while you do not perceive..
يٰأَيُّهَا الَّذينَ ءامَنوا لا تَرفَعوا أَصوٰتَكُم فَوقَ صَوتِ النَّبِىِّ وَلا تَجهَروا لَهُ بِالقَولِ كَجَهرِ بَعضِكُم لِبَعضٍ أَن تَحبَطَ أَعمٰلُكُم وَأَنتُم لا تَشعُرونَ

Whenever the word ``prophet'' (Nabi) is used in reference to Muhammad in Qoran, it invariably refers to him during his life, not after his death. Obviously, we cannot possibly raise our voices above Muhammad's voice, now that he is dead.

 That is why we never find "Obey the Nabi2 in Qoran, only "Obey the messenger." Because the Nabi is the man and the man has his own words and opinions. But the messenger only brings the message and therefore one is Obeying GOD s words.

Sister, what's bothering you is not literally addressed to you anyway...
You are not a believer who was living with Prophet... So you can never disobey this command..
So don't bother anymore... Concentrate on the verses which Ade brought forward...

BTW.. The verse specifically talking directly to believers since they had a quality of raising voices with any of those among them.. So prophet was also among them... They as believers May be respecting the Prophet... But God clarifies how to respect him in a way it deserves.. Prophet was not a normal human being once he was assigned as Prophet / Messenger coz he communicates what God delivers to him... Easing voices agaisnt such icon in the society that also by believers will never give him due respect though prophet doesn't mind it.. But God doesn't like...
If those believers don't identify their prophet with significant difference then their belief may go weak... Since prophet is the one who delivers message... Leader deserves respect... God doesn't mind at all behaving in the sane manner they are among believers... So it tells the story... So they were not doing anything wrong.. It's their nature.. But they can't keep their nature with prophet... Result is losing their good deeds...
You won't lose any of your good deeds coz of this particular verse dear... That's for sure...
But there are many a verse that indicates we can lose our goods deeds...
Hope you don't get upset by my explanation.. Highlighted part is totally unnecessary from your end..

Jkhan, hmm I know.. but I mean what if in everyday life we do something which is also not big, or we think it's not big and then we lose our deeds? Just like they didn't know it was so important..

And then how can you relax through life if you're not safe from losing good deeds. Deeds are everything you have in order to be ok in the afterlife..

Dear Ilma,

The odds are in your favor as, as long as you don't get disqualified by committing Shirk/Idolatry.

The good deeds carry multiples of 10x, while the bad deeds carry no multiple (see 6:160).
