6:158 is talking about one event only ,the day we see GOD and the angels-Day of judgement. This makes better sense:

Are they waiting for the angels to come to them, or your Lord, or some physical manifestations of your Lord? The day this happens, no soul will benefit from believing if it did not believe before that, and did not reap the benefits of belief by leading a righteous life.* Say, "Keep on waiting; we too are waiting."
هَل يَنظُرونَ إِلّا أَن تَأتِيَهُمُ المَلٰئِكَةُ أَو يَأتِىَ رَبُّكَ أَو يَأتِىَ بَعضُ ءايٰتِ رَبِّكَ يَومَ يَأتى بَعضُ ءايٰتِ رَبِّكَ لا يَنفَعُ نَفسًا إيمٰنُها لَم تَكُن ءامَنَت مِن قَبلُ أَو كَسَبَت فى إيمٰنِها خَيرًا قُلِ انتَظِروا إِنّا مُنتَظِرونَ

i.e Too late to believe and grow your soul,like we are supposed to do in this life.The soul is lost if one waited until they saw the Angels or GOD.
Remember some people described Jesus and his miracles as an end sign. We are always closer to the end. This whole life is like few hours or even only like an hour,  It goes like a blinking of the eye.. How long are millions of years compared to eternity.?

Based on the responces here, I am inclined to believe that the ‘daba’ is even simpler than I had initially thought.

The 2 verses that proceed 27:82 as brother Jkhan shared are indeed meaningful to this topic.

Here is a breakdown of some of the key words in this prophecy:

Daba = Movement/Moving Creature
Min Alardh = from the ground/earth
Tukalim = Speaks/Speech/Talk

As a sign from God that the retribution is now due, a ‘thing’ that can move is brought out from the earth and it “talks” to people.

The 2 verses that Jkhan pointed to speak twice about “hearing/listening”.

So, what is the item that has been made from earthly material that is both mobile and is related to speaking/listening?

If we look at these timelines of the moon landing in 1969 (54:1), the mobile phone being invented in 1973 (27:82), and the mathematical structure of the Quran being discovered in 1974 (74:29-30) - then I would say we are in for a wild ride perhaps in our lifetimes!

Bringing something out does not always mean the thing brought out was 'created' or is 'alive' (e.g. God 'brings out' jewelry and ornaments for the people 7:32).

Therefore, the Daba can be an inanimate/inorganic object that is 'brought out' from the materials of the earth by God.

my understanding is that the creature is literally a creature made from earth (humans are made from earth... and other i think the other earthly creatures too, as recall when jesus pbuh shaped a bird from
clay and it came to life by The God’s permission) that will speak to the people and tell them that they were unaware of the signs from The God (my opinion is that it will be an organic creature)

the mobile phone does not speak to people and does not tell them they were unaware of the signs

i believe we should take the Quran literally and not delve into interpretation wildly

that is my opinion - the creature is an organic creature that will literally talk to the people

There is no right or wrong interpretation when it comes to future prophecies - they remain conjecture until the act takes place and is no longer hidden.

It may very well be a creature, or it maybe a man made item, or it maybe neither.

I only gave my views as a) they can be supported by the text, and b) sometimes prophecies end up having the most simple of explanations.

I've  got a message stating that this verse 27:82 could be refering to TV and there on all latest technology through which people get the communication..

He refers that TV was invented first in 1927 ..

1 + 9 + 2 + 7 = 19
 2 + 7 + 8 + 2 = 19

It is not a bad choice either..
Everything speaks to us.. When we watch,  we listen and let the TV or computer or mobile do the talking.. We have witnessed enough things through these medias..  If that is the right option,  we are living in a period in which word of God is fallen already.. Only waiting for the Hour to occur..  Leta be patient and see what happens..
