Peace
For example a lot of celebrities seem to have it all- wealth, health, beauty, friends heck even closer relationships with their families sometimes too...
Am I right to assume God wouldn't ever give all this to that extent to a true believer in this life?
Although apparently Queen Rania of Jordan follows the Qur'an alone but who knows how dedicated she really is I guess...
Peace Sarah
I think that would be a wrong assumption. Also we should not generalize disbelievers. For example you mentioned celebrities. You never know for sure who is believer or not. We are all in different situations. Great wealth/power/prosperity/good look comes with great responsibility.
King Solomon was blessed and tested with wealth. So true believers can be blessed with wealth.
38:31 When, during dusk, well trained horses were displayed before him.
38:32 He said, "I enjoyed the good of materials more than I enjoyed remembering my Lord, until it became totally dark!"*
38:33 "Send them back." He then rubbed their legs and necks.
38:34 We tested Solomon and placed a corpse on his throne, but he then repented.
38:35 He said, "My Lord, forgive me, and grant me a kingship that will never be attained by anyone after me. You are the Grantor."
Wealth is a test as well as poverty.
20:131 Do not strain your eyes on what We have given other people as luxuries of this worldly life. We are testing them with it; and the provision of your Lord is better and more lasting.
3:186 We will test you with your wealth and with yourselves, and you will hear from those who have been given the book before you and from those who set up partners much annoyance. If you strive and be aware, then these are affairs of great resolve.
89:15 As for man, if his Lord tests him and grants him much, then he says: "My Lord has blessed me!"
89:16 And if his Lord tests him and gives him little wealth, then he says: "My Lord has humiliated me!"
We are tested with good and bad things.
7:168 We divided them through the land as nations. From them are the reformed, and from them are other than that. We tested them with good things and bad, perhaps they will return.
21:35 Every person will taste death. We burden you with evil and good as a test, and it is to Us that you will return.
Those who prove their conviction and dedication to God alone by successfully passing through a series of tests attain happiness both in this world and in the hereafter.
10:64 For them are glad tidings in the worldly life and in the Hereafter. There is no changing the words of God. Such is the supreme success.
16:30 It was said to those who were righteous: "What has your Lord sent down?" They said, "All goodness." For those who have done good in this world there is good, and the Hereafter is even better. Excellent indeed is the home of the righteous.
Peace
