(ح ب ب) this root we cant replace with approval coz from the same root lot of words get generated some of them QURAN use as well.

MEHBOOB = the one who is beloved
HABU = lovely FRIEND
MUHABBAT= LOVE/AFFECTION
HABB=  dear TO someone
HUBB= dearer/ beloved

and even in urdu (hub-ul-watan) lover of homeland we cant say approval of homeland...

although LIKED is somewhat similar in meanings only in few places if we take it as "preffered one" preffered due to love for a person..

i preffered XYZ over XYZ ( due to the emotion of likeness) that turn in to muhabbat(affection).
