Who informed Muhammad on Jin listening to Quran?
« on: October 04, 2019, 11:12:45 PM »
It was a tree :)

[Shahih Bukhari] Volume 5 - Book 58 - Number 199
Narrated 'Abdur-Rahman: "I asked Masruq, 'Who informed the Prophet about the jinns at the night when they heard the Qur'an?' He said, 'Your father 'Abdullah informed me that a tree informed the Prophet about them.' "

'Abdur-Rahman probably never read the Qur'an and Masruq gave him a stupid answer to a stupid question...  :nope:

Why did Bukhari even documented this?

I guess trees can talk and they have emotions

Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) said:

There was a trunk of a date-palm tree upon which the Prophet (ﷺ) used to recline while delivering Khutbah (sermon). When a pulpit was placed in the mosque, we heard the trunk crying out like a pregnant she-camel. the Prophet (ﷺ) came down from the pulpit and put his hand on the trunk and it became quiet.

Peace Amra.
Unfortunately I have not read many hadiths.
However, modern hadith says this:
A lumberjack walks into an enchanted forest. As he goes to chop down a tree, it calls out. "Wait, don't chop me down. I'm a talking tree!"
The lumberjack smiles. "Oh you can dialogue?, Then  die a log!"

How you got to talking trees from straightforward GOD informing Mohammed by inpiration?
GOD bless you.
Peace.
