They are not a missing link. They put their weight on wrists, unlike primates who put on knuckles.

They do not seems as a proof of "devolution" but rather some sort of syndrome, in case the show is even authentic and not some staged pseudo-science.

People walking on their four's is nothing new. Unfortunately there are some devastating factors involved, including syndromes, or even being unlucky to be born in psychotic families:

However, that's not a missing link.

A man is by far the most underdeveloped among the species on Planet Earth:

- Man has not a trait of natural adaptability in natural and wild circumstances, unlike animals, which naturally adopt to their wild environment, most in less than 1,5 years already start hunting and procreating;

- bone structure, muscles and lack of hair makes man highly vulnerable to outside environment, unlike animals, who naturally do not need clothes, are structured in a way to be able to fully satisfy their biological needs without having to manipulate their environment so as to survive. One such manipulation is cooking and establishment fire, which is man's "workaround" against cold nights and a way to protect from roaming animals;

- humans limbs are far inferior to mammals. Look at the primate's structure of limbs and how it is adapted to walking, climbing and running, or basically any of its "everyday" activities (because time is irrelevant to the specy which cannot manipulate it). In contrast it takes a small amount of strength and a lot of accidental possibilities for a man to break his bones without proper footwear protection;

- try fighting a full grown gorilla in a cage/ring. You think you share the same descent? Go ahead, try your luck fighting it without artificial means like armor or weaponry and see how miserable your body and natural agility will be against it. And don't try a a cheap excuse "men are from chimps technically", because even a chimp is way more adapted physically and dexterous and faster than average human.

Man is basically the most underdeveloped among the species on this planet, and if it wasn't for its mind and ability to think ahead of action, something which all non-human species lack (i.e. think in ahead of present event), it just would not survive or be born in the first place.

Like Makaveli said, that is a deformity.
If there was a missing link it would have ceased to exit a while back in history. If we cannot find an original ape-man existing among us, how can we find the missing link existing among us now?
And how can that be proved?
So  if other humans exist that walk like bears or kangaroos, would we say these are the missing link to bears or...
GOD bless.
