The Book of Moses, a beacon and a mercy.
« on: November 05, 2016, 03:59:17 PM »
An English translation of the Quran - 11:17 For those who are on a clarity from their Lord, and are followed by a testimony from Him; and before it was the Book of Moses, a beacon and a mercy; they will believe in it. And whoever rejects it from among the Confederates, then the Fire is his meeting place. So do not be in any doubt about it. It is the truth from your Lord, but most of the people do not believe.

11:18 And who is more wicked than he who invents lies about God? They will be displayed before their Lord, and the witnesses will say: "These are the ones who have lied about their Lord." Alas, the curse of God will be upon the wicked.

Why does God tell us that whoever rejects it from among the Confederates that they will have the Fire as their meeting place? Why does God tell us that those who are on a clarity of their Lord that they will believe in it and why do some forum members here tell us that we should disbelieve and reject it?
What argument do you have after the word of God who told us that it's the truth from Him, and the most of the people do not believe? At least respect others who do believe, since there is no compulsion in the system. At least do not invent lies about God!
Stop misguiding others by telling them that the Torah does contain errors, because you are lieing and can not even read the Hebrew Torah. The word of God is perfect, and it's He who protects the Reminder. Really, do you want me to become a witness against you?

An English translation of the Quran - 11:19 Those who repel others from the path of God and they seek to twist it; and regarding the Herafter they are in denial.

11:23 Those who believe and do good works, and are humble towards their Lord; they are the dwellers of Paradise, in it they will remain.

May He the Hearer grant us victory in the worldy life, and Hes abundance of Light on the Day of Judgement, and may He the King of kings grant us the eternal Paradise. Peace.

Salamun alaikum, dear brother.

When you say Torah, do you mean the original/unedited Torah that prophet Moses received? Or do you mean the present Torah? I believe the present Torah contains truth mixed with falsehood.

The Quran acknowledges the alterations of Biblical text:

2:75
Have you any hope that they will be true to you when a party of them used to listen to the word of God, then used to change it, after they had understood it, knowingly?

2:79
Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say: "This is from God," so that they may take from it a small price!- Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby

However, this does not mean a wholesale corruption of the previous revelations, because God expects/instructs the followers of those revelations to judge according to what they have:

5:47
Let the people of the Injeel judge by what God has revealed in it. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what God has revealed, they are those who rebel

3:93
All food was lawful to the children of Israel except that which Israel had forbidden to himself, before the Torah was revealed. Say: Bring then the Torah and read it, if you are truthful

Now a pertinent question may be that if the Biblical text had undergone changes (although to a certain extent and not completely), how will a follower of previous revelations find out which commandments in their books are from God and which commandments were later added/indoctrinated? There is a verse in the Quran which says that the Quran makes clear about much of the areas of the previous revelations, but also overlooks other areas:

5:15
O People of the Book, surely there has come to you our Messenger, making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the scripture and overlooking much. Surely has come to you from God a light and a clear book

The above verse, according to my humble understanding, means that God confirms the truth of previous revelations, and areas of previous revelations which became concealed or confusing to people has been made clear in the Quran. Of course, the Quran did not correct every single error of the previous scriptures, that's why at the end of the verse it says, "overlooking much", but has corrected all areas which are necessary for the adherents of the previous scriptures to be able to lead a life in the proper way that God want them to.

Now more questions arise - does that mean the Jews and Christians will have to believe in the veracity of the Quran and that it is from God? Will they go to hell if they do not believe the Quran to be the word of God? I will not attempt to answer these questions because I do not have sufficient knowledge regarding these.  :peace:
Turn to Allah before you turn to ashes.

An English translation of the Quran - 5:43 Why do they ask you to judge among them, when they have the Torah, containing GOD's law, and they chose to disregard it? They are not believers.,

So in the lifetime of Mohammed, the Torah was present.

An English translation of the Quran - 3:3 He sent down to you this scripture, truthfully, confirming all previous scriptures, and He sent down the Torah and the Gospel,

An English translation of the Gospel - Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

And in the lifetime of Jesus, son of Mary, the Messiah, the Torah was present.

So yeah, if you need more examples: feel free to respond.

The point is, people who write things in the name of God which are false, and people who distort the pen and paper doesn't make the original corrupt. Just use your eyes, and look how much copies there are in the Arab World of the Quran, just use your eyes and look how much copies there are in the Holy Land of the Torah. Just use your eyes, look how much copies there are of the Gospel, and the Gospel is the most copied document in history.

An English translation of the Quran - 15:9 Indeed it is We who have sent down the Reminder, and indeed it is We who will preserve it.
May He the Hearer grant us victory in the worldy life, and Hes abundance of Light on the Day of Judgement, and may He the King of kings grant us the eternal Paradise. Peace.
