Peace everyone.
I've been thinking about posting these short videos for some time and wonder how you guys think about this.
Before everyone thinks I blindly follow this man and believe every word he says or that I reject two verses of the Quran, I don't.
I most certainly do not agree with everything he is saying, but I do however respect this man's efforts into waking people up with the fact that the Quran should be the only source of guidance and that today's traditional islam has been corrupted a lot and how he has shown people that there is a thin line between true monotheism and idol worship. His book 'Quran, Hadith & Islam' was a great way of doing that.
For those of you who believe he was a messenger (based on 3:81, 40:28, 40:34, 72:7, 4:136, etc.), let's say he was a messenger, even messengers make mistakes:
"We never sent a messenger before you, or a prophet, but when he had a desire Satan interfered in his wishes. But God nullifies what Satan interjects, and God affirms His revelations. God is Omniscient and Wise." (22:52)
Now back to the videos. I was watching this a short time ago and here Rashad Khalifa is explaining why our new Dhikr should be '
God is running everything'. I personally didn't agree with everything he said (about satan having his own kingdom etc.), but the main message and the verses he was referring to are quite interesting.
What do you guys think about these videos? Are there points you agree with and points you don't? If so, why? (Please refer to Quran verses if possible.)
Is Rashad right? Should the thought that God is running everything be a reminder for us daily?
"The ones who listen to what is being said, and then follow the best of it. These are the ones whom God has guided, and these are the ones who possess intelligence." (39:18)
Peace.
