Thats one of the serioust case of misinformation.

A triple or even quatro bigottery.

When u take the story as it told as true and convey it to others u tell something wrong about god which he doesnt say(khidr).

and If u take hadith to back it where no khidr is mentioned ,at least i am not aware about valid hadith(Bukhary..)

thi k about it

to be honest i m still stuck in that green man ? who is he u reffering ?
i said that character in fun i was thinking there is one more green character ?shrek? but i kno u r not talking about them.

I know that u meant it in funny way so i answered in the same way but to be serious the Attribut "green" Man is given through the Name itself. For the Colour green refaring to khidr there are several opinions given.

But there must be something true that a dome is named after him.

aww thats cool lol so we are even now.no more kidding  :handshake:

ok khidr you are talking bout.

i dunno if two prominent sects of islam sunni/shia reffered him GREEN.
but they have myths about the chracter ? khizar? thats how they pronounced it.

but that name and that type of character is missing in Quran.
if u ll research more u ll see the khizar of sunni is different than the khizar of shia.

the travellor with moses was khizar according to sunni guesses.
the imam mehdi of shia is infact khizar the promised messiah of shia people.
and according to one theory shia is 12th and final imam of shia who is present with us everytime. ( some shia say him imam mehdi).

another theory about this chracter khizar.
some people claimed he drunk ab-e-hayat ( drink of life) thats y he cant b dead.
whoever drink that water will not get died.

Yes ,there is no Name mentioned in the Quran and the aahadith ,they put Moses in a bad light thats in my view a conflict with the quran. And in other scriptures there is no teacher of moses mentioned.

to your last two parts seemed to me that the shia mixed other ahadith to get an immortal saviour which is against shari?allah

seemed to me that khidr is persian farytale to make the alexander Story more entertaining to the People.

or it might come from a canaanit god

"
it directly comes from the name of the Canaanite god Kothar-wa-Khasis[21][22] and it may be later assimilated to Arabic term "al-akhḍar".[23] "sourceWiki

In the sura 37 there is in several ayats a Prophet mentioned by Name and additional called ?bd min ?ibadina

like in sure 66.:10
For those who are bent on denying the truth God has propounded a parable in [the stories of] Noah?s wife and Lot?s wife: they were wedded to two of Our righteous servants, and each one betrayed her husband(Assad)

It is very possible that Moses had no ministry in sura Kahf and was tought by a Prophet of his time .

Quote from www.quaro.com

"There is a controversy among exegetes of the Holy Qur'an with respect to the prophethood of Khidr (a).
Al-Fakhr al-Razi rejected six arguments presented by exegetes of the Holy Qur'an for the prophethood of Khidr.
Al-Shaykh al-Tusi cited Abu 'Ali al-Juba'i and Rummani (d. 384/994) as saying that Khidr (a) was a prophet, and attributed the rejection of this view to Ibn Akhshid (d. 326/937). But he himself made no comments on this issue.
According to al-Tha'labi, Khidr (a) is a prophet with a long life who is hidden from people.
And according to Baghawi, God gave knowledge of the interior to Khidr through inspiration, and most scholars believe that he is not a prophet."
