"O my sons, do not enter from one door; Enter through different doors. However, I cannot save you from anything that is predetermined by God. To God belongs all judgments. I trust in Him, and in Him shall all the trusters put their trust." (Quran 12:67)

"When they went, they entered in accordance with their father's instructions. Although this could not change anything decreed by God, Jacob had a private reason for asking them to do this; For he possessed certain knowledge that we taught him, but most people do not know." (Quran 12:68)

The story of Joseph is said to contain much wisdom: "In their history, there is a lesson for those who possess intelligence..." (Quran 12:111)

The advice seen here is "Enter through different doors".
After contemplating, we can take this advice and put it to application through many different situations!

-In many cases, Variety is better than being homogeneous.
-Make more than one plan (e.g Plans: A, B, C etc.)
-Have more than one perspective (e.g through Consultation 42:38 and 27:32)
-Save your work/data on more than one place.
-Reserve in many places, and not put our full fledged trust on one thing only (Except God of course! :))
This time it's a Revolution; A Quran Alone Revolution!

 :welcome:

nice i'm glad you understood the parable ALLAH has put forth.

jacob knew ALLAH's will would be done even if he had such a plan to cause hardship by the guards having to collect them from each of the gates seeing on brother they would have to search for the others.

side note i think the funny part is they kinda had it coming lolz
they sacrificed two of jacobs sons, their own brothers. it does kinda leave a distaste at the end where joseph forgives them. it should be learned that when you sin against a person it leaves a bitterness that's hard for even the just of us to swallow but pleae post more.

here's some advertising as well

Man of Faith

Peace fye,

It is quite natural that Joseph forgave his brothers since he was a good man of faith. It shows quite much about a Believer when we can forgive such things and also there are, in my humble opinion, good examples about this kind of behavior from Jesus in the Gospel testimonies written by his followers. Forgiving is better than punishment, although in the narration with Joseph; his brothers had already received a punishing humiliation and seeking more is oppression. Besides God had already blessed Joseph plentifully while his brothers had not as much, and, in my interpretation, were even quite poor. They were struck by the famine.

God bless you

mmmm

He forgave them but before he did he made for them something to worry about ( when he took his brother) and he made emotional closure same as he did with the women who tried to seduce him when he refused to get out of the prison until she admits he was innocent - he made an emotional closure so he could move on and forgive.

Salaam TheQuranAloneRevolution,

I don't have a strong opinion on this since I've never sat down to seriously think about it, but if I recall correctly some thinkers such as Muhammad Asad have interpreted it as meaning: there are more than one way to God. Ie: those who are dogmatic and tyrannical about forms and methods are incorrect because there are many different ways to come closer to God.

If this interpretation is accurate then it would seem to confirm other verses that say that anyone can reach heaven if they believe in God and the Last day, and do good deeds. Probably referring to groups like the Unitarians and devout Muslims who pray and fast and give charity but still consider themselves to be part of one of the sects.
فَاسْتَبِقُوا الْخَيْرَاتِ ۚ
So strive as in a race in all virtues!
5:48

I was thinking of this ayat a few days ago it was but a need from Jacobs heart like infatuation it's a need in your heart something you just have to do or you'll be *grunt!!* discontented. lolz

Man of Faith

Peace,

I think Jacob wanted to see if the one at their travel destination was one blessed by God to be able to expose their plans. If it was not someone blessed by God then Jacob's plan would have worked. Jacob did not commit any sin but was in my humanly eyes quite wise.

God bless you
