Thank you!

That is really sad.  I can't imagine treating my wife that way.

I've been a Muslim for almost two years after years of thinking about it.  I hadn't hit rock bottom, but it was definitely time to make a change.  I'm still changing and hopefully for the better.  I watched the movie Spike Lee movie about Malcolm X which is what got me interested in Islam.  I was also listening to Hip-Hop, and the Islamic references in the lyrics I was pulled to Islam.

I was raised in a small community and in a Lutheran Church which wasn't very beneficial to my spiritual growth.  I did have some positive influences, but the majority of the people I dealt with, were either ignorant or misled me.  Feel free to guess which one.  After high school, I was always studying religion.  I read books on Buddhism, Tao, Islam, and Christianity.  I could never really decide what I was doing and even flirted with Atheism for awhile.  Eventually I came back to Islam.

Salaam and welcome to the forum  :handshake:

I did not understand the 2 red parts. What do you mean with "I came back to Islam"?.

Salaam,
Bender

I should have been more clear.  I had been thinking about becoming a Muslim for years.  I never did and explored other religions until I came back to Islam and converted.
