My mother would pay a lot to preachers so that i would go back to the "straight path".
In my mind, if you'd give those money to the poor that would have been a money better spent.

Make sure she managed to get a 'money back guarantee' from the preachers.. Otherwise the preachers shall tries to "keep you away from the straight path" as long as possible..
