Hi,
My name is Lihawa and I'm from Indonesia. I have been here in FM forum for a months and then decided to register myself in this forum. I'm the one who believe that every man in this world must struggle to become a submitter, no matter what their creed.
So here I am, looking for more information about being submitter.

Salam!

Abdul-Hadi

Greetings and Peace, Lihawa

:welcome:

Most people lurk for a while before registering.

Although some people may be able to help point you where to find knowledge, it is up to you to confirm it. Be wary of information, especially if it is not backed with evidence. The best evidence is Quranic. Some people have agendas other than the Deen; when you recognize them one of the best things to do is use the "ignore" feature in your profile.

17:36 And do not uphold what you have no knowledge of. For the hearing, eyesight, and heart, all these you are responsible for.

28:55 And if they come across vain talk, they disregard it and say: "To us are our deeds, and to you are your deeds. Peace be upon you. We do not seek the ignorant."

You've probably already read the articles on the main page. Is there anything in particular that interests you?

Translations can be tricky--I find it useful to use http://corpus.quran.com/ to search for the words in Arabic and confirm meanings. One word will have one meaning, and it must make sense in all places that it is used. If the word doesn't fit, the translation is dubious. Even on that site, be wary of the "definitions" of words.

Being a submitter is pretty easy--especially when you are rid of extra-Quranic hadith!

4:125 And who is better in the system than the one who submits himself to GOD, and he is a good doer, and he follows the creed of Abraham in monotheism? And GOD took Abraham as a friend.

2:130 And who would abandon the creed of Abraham except one who fools himself? We have selected him in this world, and in the Hereafter he is of the righteous.

2:131 When his Lord said to him: "Submit," he said: "I submit to the Lord of the worlds."

41:33 And who is better in saying than he who invites to GOD, and does good works, and says: "I am one of those who have submitted."

5:69 Surely those who believe; and those who are Jewish, and the Sabians, and the Nazarenes, whoever of them believes in GOD and the Last Day and does good works; then they will have nothing to fear nor will they grieve.

May ALLAH see fit to Guide all seekers.

Shalom Aleikhom,

Welcome to the forum.  :welcome:

I am sure you are familiar with many translations of the Qur'an. As Abdul-Hadi pointed out, it can be tricky at times, so study the language to your level best. There are many websites and books available  which you can use to study the Qur'an. However, you must be informed that whatever we say is our opinion which reflects a lot of life experiences and the person's knowledge. So, if you ask me a question, I am only telling you my understanding based on my experience with the text.

So, the duty to study it is on you. The very idea of following Qur'an alone requires you to take a shot at it yourself. When you study the topic in the light of the Qur'an, you can post your conclusions here. We can discuss our views and see where we differ and why we differ. Dont be afraid to post your views, if they are wrong, we all will find out why they are wrong and that will be a learning experience.

Since you are looking for "more information about being a submitter", I can only direct you to God's words.

May God increase us in knowledge and grant us success in this life and the next.

Peace

Thanks for your welcome message bro Abdul-Hadi and Student of Allah.

Yes, I'm aware that there's always be different opinion between the quranist about many things. But in the end, it all makes sense to me, since we decided to leave the Ulema and Mullah behind, we put our spiritual life responsibility individually. And in line with this, now I understand why Prophet Muhammad didn't come up with his Quran tafseer. There's no such book. It could be means that he didn't insist his understanding, and let the interpretation evolved over time.

Allah knows best.
