Hello, I have heard that fabricating hadith would be near impossible because of the stringency in evaluating the isnad.  That is, the chain of hadith conveyors.  I read they were scrupulously checked for authenticity  and fabricating them would be near impossible.  That would mean fabricating chains with people who met, people who were renowned for their memory and honesty, and mass conveyed traditions.  Essentially it would be a mass conspiracy.  Can someone explain this to me?  How is fabrication of Isnad possible?

I think you're the one who should explain why it's possible to
"checked for authenticity and fabricating them would be near impossible"..

If I said: "I heard from Lisa Marie she heard Elvis Presley said: Marilyn Monroe has a tattoo in her butt"..

How will you check the authenticity of my statement?

amin

good question Jafar,

The problem is not only the authenticity but also the copy cat  behaviour, if she had the tattoo and we too should have it. :)

Man of Faith

That sounds like gossiping.

In Bukhari they gossip about Muhammad's toilet habits. I wonder what kind of minds these people had.
