Salaam all,

I would like to learn Arabic and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or advice for me before I began my journey to a better understanding of the Quran and closer relationship to Allah.

All information in my posts is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should seek knowledge and verify: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11. My articles

Salam,

Start learning Arabic from the Qur'aan itself, taking assistance from other books on language and grammer and morphology.

Start with the First Ayat of Grand Qur'aan

بِسمِ ٱلله الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيـمِ

It begins with a Preposition. Read about prepositions and find Arabic prepositions and their use and meanings, before moving to next word, a noun.

بِسمِ ٱلله الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيـمِ

Wakas had given links of two very good and simple in explanation, books about Arabic Morphology wherein you can study about prepositions under the heading Particles.

You can take a try at http://www.lqtoronto.com/

You can download videos or you can learn it online.

May Allah increase in our knowledge and make it easy for us all.  :pr
