Mistakes made by quran only people:  Juging sunnis and shi'as and calling them kaffir and mushrik,  heretics and all kinds of disrespect insted of following the quran and calling them brothers and learn from each other so we might all see the truth, for i believe 100%the quran when it says that only allah knows those whom they're guided, and i believe allah when he says in his book that jews, christians, sabians... who believe and do good deeds, they have their reward and no fear for them nor grief,  i don't see why not sunnis and shia who believe and do good deeds, so please friends, don not juge a sunni or anybody for it is the biggest blasphemy you're doing, and you will be the 1st to desobey Allah by associating yourselves with allahas juges , and you know very well who is to juge, so please friends, be rational and try to take away from your heart all prejudice and hatred

I wouldn't say it's a Quran only mistake.

it's true that people do it and that's unfortunate. i'd say it's an individual flaw rather than a group fault.

We all have blind spots.
Follow your heart but take your brain with you.
ambiguity is there for a reason, why do you think?
We're all different, so how can we all be equal?

i'm a new poster here, but i've been lurking for a while:

1) i rarely (if ever) see  Qur'anists judging Sunnis and Shias...let alone call them Khaffar, etc.

2) more often, however, i see the reverse; the Sunnis (in particular) lashing out at Qur'anists.

it's sad on either side; we all have the same mission of worshipping Allah as He deserves to be worshipped.

Well put.

Maseehullaah

Allaah سبحانه وتعالى says in the Holy Quraan:

قُلْ إِن كُنتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ اللّهَ فَاتَّبِعُونِي يُحْبِبْكُمُ اللّهُ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَاللّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

Say (O Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم): "If you love Allaah then follow me, Allaah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allaah is Forgiving, Merciful." (3:31)

From this blessed Verse of the Holy Quraan, it is proven that true Believers are obligated to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم

Is Not Allaah Sufficient for His Slave? [39:36]

It says "follow me" not "follow my alleged sunnah as written by Bukhari et al".

This issue has been discussed in perhaps hundreds of pages on the forum and in articles.

Salaam,

I know it is a waste of time trying to have a logical dialogue with you guys, i.e., the sectarians. Here I?ll try to answer your irrational interpretation of The Qur?aan, in order, not to get through you, but to others who read your posts.

The above verse of The Qur?aan you?ve quoted and all other similar verses commanding the believers to follow the messengers of GOD are all about the time when the messengers were alive and living, so the believers would be able to follow the tangible living messenger.

Now; can you tell me how am I to follow a dead messenger, especially after being dead for over 1400 years? Unless I actually die too, then I will truly be following him in his footsteps to his grave.

Verses 35:31, 32 in The Qur?aan clearly inform us that we inherited nothing but The Qur?aan Alone for our religious guidance. The Prophet himself time and time again was commended to follow The Qur?aan only. See 6:50,106; 7:203; 10:15,109; 33:2; 43:43; 49:9, and many more.

How in the world you sectarians dare to claim that the Prophet who is commanded repeatedly by GOD (SWT) not to follow anything but The Qur?aan, would expect his followers to follow extra Qur?aanic religious sources?

May GOD Almighty Guides us all in His straight path.

Peace,
Khalil

Indeed. Loxbox, I suggest you spend some time reading here before coming up with allegations like that.  :peace:

:bravo: :bravo: YES!!!

I had to repeat that same thing over and over this morning in discussions with my darling husband over hadith/sunnah/Quran.

It's hard to argue when you disagree on the basics. I have come to see that when Quran says follow the messenger, that it means as you just said - follow the Quran - NOT all the other stuff that was written later and Prophet Muhammad did not know about or wasn't around to stop.

But if the person won't give up on that reading of it, then it's hard to move on.
