I've always wondered about the rationale behind astrology; hopefully you can help.  How is it that the movements of planets/stars dictate personality?  I'm not disputing with you that they do.  I'm just asking, to theorists of astrology, what is the rationale behind that general concept?  Is it a gravitational field thing?  What is it exactly about the date/time of my birth that corresponds with XYZ traits in my character?

To be honest, I can't really answer your questions but I think it does have something to do with the gravitational field thing.

Were you born in 1988 by any chance? I've made some for Scorpios from 1988 and they had a venus in libra and a mars in aries too. Of course its not only Scorpios from 1988 that have this alignment lol.

Yes, I know, but it will distort the results. As has been mentioned on here, your character traits are not only determined by your star sign, but also by other factors. I think it's important to take those into consideration as well, or you will get a one-dimensional interpretation.

I remember I did a chart many years ago, so I do know I'm a double cancer (rising sign is cancer too) which is not really that great. And I do know I was born around the wee hours of the morning ... but I can't for the life of me remember the exact time.

I remember I did a chart many years ago, so I do know I'm a double cancer (rising sign is cancer too) which is not really that great. And I do know I was born around the wee hours of the morning ... but I can't for the life of me remember the exact time.  

I think it only distorts the rising sign, not the entire chart. For the entire chart to be distorted you have to enter the wrong place (this is actually very important, I experimented with mine with two birth places, one in Toronto and one in Ad Dammam [where I was actually born] and when I entered Toronto, my moon alignment was in Scorpio, but when I entered my actual birthplace it is in Libra. Overall I think the Libra one is most accurate in comparison to the moon in Scorpio description. I've met people with moons in fixed signs (like Scorpio, Leo, Taurus and Aquarius), I'm not like them at all. I find some basic similarity with people with moons in cardinal signs like mine (Libra, Aries, Cancer and Capricorn)

I think there is something out there that helps you determine manually what your rising sign is. Of course you need to know when you were born for this. I know that it happens in two hour intervals, i.e. I was born at 4:50-55 p.m., the rising sign in Leo for Aquarius is 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Funny thing is Leo is the opposite of Aquarius, so apparently I come across as opposite of how I actually am.
