The goal is to serve the creation, which humanity is part of. Prayer rituals may serve as a reminder to this, so they can be a tool, but never a merit of its own.

The purpose of humanity [en masse = both gn & Ins] is to serve G-D alone.
I was not delivered in this world into defeat, nor does failure course my veins.
I'm not a sheep waiting to be prodded by my shepherd. I am a lion, and I refuse to talk, walk or sleep with the sheep.

But how do you do this? And what does it mean?

But how do you do this?

The basic formula is = [الايمان] + [العمل الصالح]

And what does it mean?

It means everything exists for a purpose ... particularly humanity.

What does it mean to 'serve G-D alone'?

It means you shouldn't acknowledge, revere, or obey others beside G-D as your Master/Ruler/Owner/Teacher/...
