something recently dawned on me regarding that article, especially where it mentions Lot...i am in possession of a piece of pottery that was taken from an archaeological site at Tall al Umayri in Jordan...the location is a site of the Ammonites, descendants of Ammon, apparently the Hebrew name of one of Lot's sons...

does anyone know of any sites i can use in mapping coordinates that will show me the relation of petra to tall al umayri?

Peace,

I am posting the link to a Jordan meterolgical site which lists all the cities, towns and villages and then gives their exact co-ordinates of a map...

I tried to look for the name you mentioned 'Tall Al Umayri' but did not find a match (maybe you will have better luck   ).

i'll ask my friend who gave me the piece if there is another name for the area in which they found it...

until then...

oh i can't be sure, that was just something i was investigating all those months ago.

lately i'm not even sure if what i am reading is really about places, or more about mindsets or states of being...or all of them together...i really can't say with any certainty yet, so i will just keep searchin Quran to find out the answers i need ;)
