Peace All,

Last night as I was dozing off while flipping through the channels, I stumbled on "The Matrix Reloaded". As usual, I got pulled in and ended up watching the rest of the movie again.

Something struck me this time that I missed the first few times I've seen the movie. Check out his dialogue between Neo and The Oracle (reminds me of Malaika):

Neo: Are there other programs like you?
The Oracle: Oh, well, not like me. But... Look, see those birds? At some point a program was written to govern them. A program was written to watch over the trees, and the wind, the sunrise, and sunset. There are programs running all over the place. The ones doing their job, doing what they were meant to do, are invisible. You'd never even know they were here.
And you see the mountains, you think they are solid, while they are passing by like the clouds. The making of God who perfected everything. He is Expert over what you do. [27:88]

Peace be upon you Tay,

Don't get me started on the MATRIX!!  :D

Here is an OLD thread that I started about the Matrix Trilogies, they are DEFINATELY talking about the same message that we are talking about, the TRUTH and our purpose in life.

http://www.free-minds.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=974&start=0

Again, this thread is very old and I am sure my understandings have progressed. I have seen all three movies AT LEAST 20 times each!  :D As well as the "animatrix" which complements the movie.

Peace Kyle,

I was hoping you would respond to this post. I remembered reading your thread a while back and wasn't sure where it was. Thanks for the link to it. I've been meaning to check out Animatrix also. What's it all about, and is it worth renting?

Peace,
Tay

Just wanted to say - LOVED the first one... the second one was good... and it went downhill from there I guess. But I still own them all!  :D

ONE of my favourite quotes from The Matrix...

Morpheus: The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you're inside, you look around. What do you see. Business men, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system, and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inert, so hopelessly dependent on the system that they will fight to protect it. Were you listening to me Neo, or were you looking at the woman in the red dress?

:D

Oh a "set up" huh?  :D

Animatrix is about the same thing the Matrix is about, the knowledge of the workings of man, or "knowledge of self".

The animatrix is basically 9 short stories.

I tell you what, if you get it this weekend and watch it, I will discuss it with you on monday (unless the God wills) and you can tell me what you think of my analysis.

In fact, I think I will refresh myself on all three matrix movies as well, I am sure what I wrote before is not 100% accurate, as my understanding as increased greatly since then.

Just remember this as you watch the Matrix Movies, the THINKING part of your brain is called the NEO-cortex!

All of the characters are part of ONE HUMAN, and NEO is the part of that ONE HUMAN that is concious. What "Neo" must understand is that LOVE is not something that you "fall into", LOVE is a FORCE, in the phyical world it is called GRAVITY. It is that whicg brings together, just like HATE is that which pushes apart. LOVE is something that a person should develop which will cause him to treat his brother(all humans) as himself, but when you are TRICKED into thinking it is something you fall in and out of, you sometimes get focused on "loving" one object (Trinity-multiplicity of things like cars, women, money) to the detrement of the GOAL, which is UNIVERSAL LOVE (Peace).

Watch how when Neo REJECTS the door to the Source, where the ONE is destined to go, and starts flying after "trinity", BLINDED by his emotions. The fire of hell rages behind him, and he destroys so many things in his blind race to save trinity, who will die anyway, as all things but the God pass away.

Aw man, I really can go all day with this movie, be careful what you ask for  :D

Don't get me wrong, I love these movies to death, but the first one, holds a special place in my heart! :D  Infact, I got animatrix and the The Matrix comic book after that.

Apparently they're releasing a 10 disc set in december, but I'm not going to get that.

I watched Matrix this night. I think I wouldn't have continued watching if I hadn't in my mind that Kyle and others wrote about it in a thread here. So I was curious. All this bumm bumm and bang bang... is actually not my stuff... BUT: I think the story is in fact interesting.I liked especially when Morpheus said to Neo: to believe in something is one thing, but to live after it is something else ... (I think it was like this) :?

Peace be upon you Warda,

Which one of the three movies did you watch?  Yes, it has a lot of action, but it is the philosophy that runs underneath that I really enjoy. I'll wait to hear from you which one you saw before talking more about it.

Peace Idolfree,

I think it was the first. Matrix.  Where Neo is thought of to be the chosen one, but the Oracle tells him he ain't. In the end Neo and Trinity fight against hundreds of the ??? (Who are they by the way?) They have to free Morpheus and Trinity and Neo fall in love... :)

Do you remember (since you watched the movie 20 times :) ) what, I think it was Morpheus, said to him (Neo)? To believe in something is one thing but you have to do something, or to DO something is something else...
