peace marie,

I thought you read the following article:
http://www.free-minds.org/articles/quranic/study.htm

If so, there is a link at the end to the best Quran study tools page on the internet, compiled by myself.  :D I think everyone should use it!

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/think786/Quran_study_tools.htm

It has the phonetic search on it.

peace

sorry all, i had to rush out for work, first day workin in a long long time, don't wanna be late right?

you're welcome marie, of course, you're always so nice and polite so of course :)

anyways, i was thinkin when i saw that muslim vs muwmin post by wakas that maybe "yaa ayyuHaa al ladhiyna amanuw" goes along with this...

maybe the true muwmin is the one that does all of those things that are mentioned after "yaa ayyuHaa al ladhiyna amanuw"

take a peek at those verses, see what you think...i think there are 88 or 89 matches in Quran. :)

I have been thinking along the same lines recently.

Alif-Meem-Nun = become/feel safe/secure, state of security/safety, become quiet/tranquil in heart/mind, become free of expectation of evil or free of an object of dislike/hatred, promise/assurance of security/safety, become trustful/faithful/confident, to believe/acknowledge it, manifestation of humility/submission

Peace all,

One more meaning is "trust". Hence, the reading talks about "amana/amanat" which are interpreted as "trust/trusts".

Perhaps an additional meaning is that "al-mu'minin" are those who fullfill the "amana" in verse 33:72.

Peace and all best wishes,

Ayman.

peace ayman,

Just re-read your article:
http://www.free-minds.org/articles/gods_system/thetrust.htm

I came to similar conclusions about the covenant/pledge with God, its relation to the scripture and serving God. When did you add the salat stuff? Has this always been in it? I was sure I had read the article before but I cant remember the salat stuff. Anyways, nice work.

Its all coming together now methinks.
