Peace

I'm not providing reference here but repentence is good since it's always worthy to acknowledge your faults before God. You've got two baskets you'll be carrying with you, the one with good fruit and the other with rotten fruit. The heavier package determines where you'll go.

Joe

Peace,

I guess trying to better yourself and repairing faults if possible would be better. I can acknowledge faults before God everyday and commit the same again the next ...

Peace Brother
It is really very sad story. Strangely enough thousands of the people of my country are also working in Saudi Arabia. Some of them do complain about the maltreatment and bad behaviour like ,taking overwork , less payment ,no leaves etc but no one has ever complained about "beating" or "sexual harassment".
Still many of my friends are working in Saudi Arabia ,but no such complaint.
Regards

salaam,

even in more open societies, only about 5% of sex delicts and crimes are believed to be officially reported, so i'd guess that in saudi arabia this percentage would be even smaller.

I just loved the part on spinsters....lol, they have a spinster problem, in order to avoid it in the future, cut it all off...

i wonder if the spinster definition was "islamic " too ....

Salam kn,

the verses you cite above do not talk about meat specifically. you think they do because that is the general interpretation given.

this is why in yussef ali's translation the word meat is in brackets : it is not in the arabic text, it is just an understanding.

118. So eat of (meats) on which Allah.s name hath been pronounced, if ye have faith in His signs.

119. Why should ye not eat of (meats) on which Allah.s name hath been pronounced, when He hath explained to you in detail what is forbidden to you - except under compulsion of necessity? But many do mislead (men) by their appetites unchecked by knowledge. Thy Lord knoweth best those who transgress.

120. Eschew all sin, open or secret: those who earn sin will get due recompense for their "earnings."

121. Eat not of (meats) on which Allah.s name hath not been pronounced: That would be impiety. But the evil ones ever inspire their friends to contend with you if ye were to obey them, ye would indeed be Pagans.

also, nowhere is there talk of slaughtering. IMO you can pronounce the name of god before you eat, yourself ...and not only on meat.

QuoteThe verse in the origional email has nothing to do with Circumcision and is a classic example of worst interpretation you can ever see by anyone. It talks about piercing or tattooos etc. like on ear or nose in common pakistani culture and any where your skin, where it can hold a new hole, in western culture. Other than that all kind of surgeries are allowed, no one is changing the DNA of God's creation or listening to devil here. Otherwise if you want to make such a wrong sense out of that verse then stop cutting nails, hairs or taking any surgery which will take any faulty part out of your God's created perfect body.

this is the best nonsense i have read in ages

and the person dares talk about "worst interpretation you can ever see by anyone"

a mirror anybody ? at least there would be some reflexion...

elke-

The appearance of the crescent after the moonless night makes it a natural choice to mark a new cycle, & this practice pre-dates the revelation of quraan.

ma'a salaam.

God bless all.
