             after ر   not ء, but any way let say that means read)

I don't know how the translators are translating, but I don't see this part of the verse saying go ask the Cristian and the Jews, which will contradict the Quran where God accuses the cristians of  following conjectures and the Jews of twisting the words of the book with their tongues and hiding part of it.

What I see Is that is saying "pull out those books from before you that the jews and the cristians are following and see that this is true" because tank Allah the jews and cristians havent corrupted the books as much as they have corrupted themselves, same with millions of muslims who don't follow only the word of allah, even when the quran says that there are not better narratives/histories (haditts) than the narrratives/histories (haddits) of allah, and they have taken their teacher as gidance besides Allah, and use their tasfir, sunnas, haddits to explain the words of the omnipotent, the supreme ruler, the omniscient. They forget that one doesn't need a human teacher to clarify the words of God, HE clarifies His word to whomever he wants of those who have sincerity, humility... He feeds with His wisdom those starving for truth, and guides those who are asking for directions.  WHEN PEOPLE CAME  TO THE PROPHET SAYING THAT THEY HAVE BELIEVE HE WAS COMMANDED TO SAY THIS:

49:14 The Nomads said: ?We believe.? Say: ?You have not believed;
but you should say: ?We have submitted?, for belief has not yet
entered into your hearts.? If you obey God and His messenger, He
will not put any of your works to waste. God is Forgiver, Merciful.

NOTICE THAT ALLAH NEVER TELLS THE PROPHET TO SAY: "WAIT PEOPLE, FIRST YOU HAVE TO SAY THE SHAHADA."

[and His covenantthat He has bound you with, for which you have said: ?We hearand obey]

NO NEED FOR SHAHADA!

Where does Allah says in the Qur'an  that believers when they believe they have to do a Shahada in frot of other believers; I DON'T FIND IT IN THE HOLY QUR'AN; THIS MUST BE FALSEHOOD; The only thing I find is this:

5:7 And remember the blessings of God over you and His covenant
that He has bound you with, for which you have said: ?We hear
and obey,? and be aware of God; for God knows what is in the
chests.

sorry if you get offended, but most people in this forum sound so far from the path. are you really looking for truth or only amusing yourselves and perverting your souls: may God forgive me but I find very few people with his mark in their words in this forum, you talk more like people of the nations who don't know the nature of God and as those who don't know his books and his laws. God?s Wrath Against Sinful Humanity

18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God?s invisible qualities?his eternal power and divine nature?have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator?who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

I came to slm in my search for truth, I was deep in science, but science could not answer my questions, because when you dig deep into it, then you find so many contradictions. when I came to slm it I had already search in the books of most religions of the world. it didn't take me long to find where the books and their followers were wrong. worse of all, what I found as a rule is that in most religions, their followers are not even doing something close to what their books are preaching, so I keep the good things and move on. Then, a few years ago I came to the QRAN, God guides to his light to whomever he wants, after a lot of research and reading a few translations I got to the conclusion that the information in this book could only had come from the creator of life, the omniscient. However, I found the mslm astray running behind a bunch of books called hadiths and sharias, they have fulfill the prophesy that they would trow the book to their backs, they have lost it behind all this mountains of hadiths. I tough, no wonder god is punishing so harsh the mslm in the middle east, and as horribly as he did in bosnia. If you have read the Torah then you know that god never forgives those who fail in obeying him and break their covenant and ally themselves with his enemies.  Then I stumble upon you, and it is good to know that at least there is some people who is willing to obey only the word of god and claim that they don't take their liders as teachers besides The All Knowing.
