Islamic Calendar & Ramadhan. / Re: Hot/"ramadan" Answer
« on: July 08, 2016, 03:42:18 AM »
Nice Hp Tech. i have created  a thread  do we believe Allah or scientists and NASA and most people who post there do not believe in a flat earth, even if Quran says that Allah spread the earth like a carpet, there is not any mention of a round world in Quran and other scriptures say the same story. I am very happy we share the same view.

By the way, if you still insist to continue your thread that discuss about FE, I suggest you to have two way discussion with HP_TECH about this issue, perhaps you both could use PM.

I think this young brother (HP_TECH) is a real/sincere scientist, and I hope you both could have good mutual discussion.

Peace. Nice thread.

Saya suka cara berdiskusi di thread ini. Saya pikir beginilah seharusnya diskusi itu berlangsung: damai dan bersahabat.

I don't know what's your problem with me @ Timotheus?

I somehow feel like being your target of criticism.

Just like what you did on this thread.

You said things to me which I don't even understand why you told those things to me, because for me what you were saying to me are irrelevant to my short statements on that thread. I just wrote simple statements but you come to give me quite long advise about other things which I think not suitable to be directed toward my simple statements (or as if I was writing something wrong).

god tells us to avoid suspicion, because it can be sin.
he also tells us to verify things for ourselves.

In my understanding, Allah teaches me to avoid much suspicions (please notice the word "much"), and for me, it doesn't mean that I am forbidden from having suspicion at all. If the scams/frauds do not often happen on the internet, then perhaps I do not need to be suspicious on such post above.

Am I wrong if I ask for more proofs/evidences of their works when I don't even know this guy and from where he's actually come from? What I know is that scam often happens on the internet, and I think that being careful is not something wrong.

I think they should give real proofs/evidences of their works before asking for donation, because this possibly a fraud, indeed.

Quranic Divinity / I want to obey my Rabb
« on: July 06, 2016, 01:02:02 AM »
I want to obey my Creator, because I think this basic principle has been strongly 'implanted' in me. My Creator is my Master and I have to obey Who created me, this is my basic principle.

The Qur'an is not God, but I think/feel that my Creator guides me to accept the Qur'an as my guidance book. But, like what I said in my other post:

I accept the Qur'an as guidance book because my Rabb guided/guides me to accept it. If my Creator shows me that the Qur'an is wrong, I do not want to hesitate to reject it immediately.

The Qur'an is not my Creator, but as long as my Creator guides me to accept the Qur'an, then I want to accept the Qur'an as the guidance book to live my life.

People might accuse me as kafir or ignorant because of what I think or because of what I believe or because of what I said/did, but my Rabb is my Witness that I want to be a good person - because I know that the right path is by being good person. I cannot count how many times the negative/bad words being directed at me either in real life or at online discussion/talk. And among the reasons why I love Allah is because He never treated me similar like those people treated me. He taught/teaches me with His kindness.

And even if I'm a foolish, I still want to be a good person. But what is actually a good person? This is what I'm still learning and I feel that my Creator also wants me to be a good person. I know that I'm not perfect, but I have no wish at all to be a bad person. If someday I return to my Creator, I hope He will accept me and forgive me.

You seem disappointed/upset if there are people (like me) who reject the Bible. I reject the Bible because my Creator does not guide me to accept the Bible as my guidance book, thus I reject it. I think my Creator also does not guide me to regard the Bible as something equal as Torah, Zabur and Injeel.

So, if there is an issue in which you do not find and answer/guidance in Quran; Example: how to sacrifice and bleed an animal, sodomites, abortion, kidnapping, rape, etc.; then, obey the Quran, and go look for guidance in the Torah.

So you have such thinking. Do you think the Qur'an is not enough as your guidance book (thus you still need Torah to guide you)?

go look for guidance in the Torah.

You cannot force your understanding on others.

I think you behaved as if you have the right to rule/order us.

Honestly, if people like you have authority to govern us, I'm afraid that you would be unfair to us.

@ The Guided One

Brother, I think this is a kind of truth that will be known (people will finally know).

I prefer to be more focus on verse 57:21.

oh, the hypocrites are loved, so they can send them back to work in muslim countries as their dogs.

What do you mean by hypocrites? Do you refer to the muslims who happily live in US and Europe?

Wait... I think I can use these as examples. See these pics?

Was he being oppressed?

I think he could be an example. I cannot see him as someone who is being oppressed. And perhaps many of members here also prefer to live in Europe and US than to live in Asia or Africa.

The US muslims I ever knew also did not seem oppressed. It seemed they were not really happy though, but it seemed they were not being oppressed.

Anyway, I myself don't favor living in US. Somehow I think that probably the great punishment from God to that country could arrive sooner or later.

I am still looking for a country to emigrate, because most of those who call themselves Muslim countries are dogs of the west. My options were narrowed to Syria and Iran, or among the controlled areas of Hezbollah, and now seems that only Iran.

Hmm yea, Iran might be a good place for you - if you want to emigrate. As for me, currently, I still prefer to live in my country. Even though 'the muslims' (muslims based on ID cards) are majority here, but Indonesia is not an Islamic country.

The only case scenario where believers are allowed to help the oppressed people is if the oppressor is oppressing the people for no other reason than being Muslims, which would apply more to EU and USA than to Palestine.

How I can say that they are being oppressed if there are many prosperous muslims there if compared to other muslims who live in Asia and Africa?

If they feel oppressed (or persecuted), perhaps they could immigrate to other continents then, to the countries where muslims are the majority - that's if they dare to live more simple than they used to live in EU and USA.

As long as they prefer to live in EU and USA and happily enjoy the facilities of the countries where they live in, it is ridiculous to say that they are being oppressed.

P.S. Never I saw people who remind me of the true believers described in the Qur'an, not even on this forum.
