General Issues / Questions / Re: How are lexicon books/grammar books/dictionaries different from ahadith?

Much as classical Arabic dictionaries has help in shaping our understanding of some words in the great reading it has also created a

Salamun Alaykum,
The other day I was reading what opposers of Quran alone ideologies have written, and came across something along the lines of; how can they not follow ahadith books but at the same time follow classical dictionaries that were written in the same time or something like that. This kind of got my attention.
At the moment, I'm of the view that ahadith books and Sira of the Prophet and books generally on Islamic history written some 1200 years ago, have a lot of potential to be false, lies, truth mixed with falsehood, deceptions, and biased. Simply because these revolve around religion, and politics, and have a lot of tendency to be untrue. The authors of these books have valid reasons to hide the truth, or fool the audience. These reasons can extend from sectarianism, to opposition of religion in general, to political reasons revolving around caliphate, giving priority to one city/country/personality over another, and promotion of one's personal desires/agendas.
Classical Arabic grammar books and dictionaries on the other hand, are no more than what they claim to be: dictionaries and grammar books. The authors of these books have more or less no reason to forge anything. If we look at things from their perspective, we can assume that most of the people of their era obviously understood and had knowledge of classical Arabic, the aim of these books being simply to compile that knowledge. No religion, no politics, no agendas, no sectarianism, or anything of the like.
But this is what I wrote on the spot, and can be wrong, so if anyone else would like to share anything on this topic, do reply. Also, if someone believes that the argument is correct, that we shouldn't follow anything of that era, do reply as well.

There were so many contradiction in the notion of physical journey. The notion cannot sit down in the heart of critical minded people. If it denote a physical journey why at nihgt? Then will this notion not contradict verse 17:93.

General Issues / Questions / Re: 'Quran Alone' is misleading

What a great discovery and solution dear OmizaSo, now the name of the sect we are just going to polish is Truth Alone.

I hope you will not get angry, but it seems you have no clue about the causes of sectarian divisions: t is not the the name, but something else. Think about it
Peace,
Edip
Thank you brother Edip,
Omeiza is cluelless about somany things that involves in labeling, nobody labels himself, labelling has always been a reaction of the group to label those who did not conform to their rules. This is always seen as the power of the group to designate breaches of their rules as deviant and to treat the person differently. The more differential the treatment, the more the individual's self-image is affected.
Our question has been a call to God alone, and abolition of part worshipping with the god, a call to God alone is seen by the dominant group as a call to abandon everything that gives authority to everything elses besides the god which includes hadith. Since hadith is seen by the dominant majority as secondary sources of law in Islam, they rationalize that a call to God alone is a call to quran alone, hence the labeling. Whereas in actual fact a call to God alone could be achieved not necessarily through quran alone but through varities of means. The term qur?an alone is short, defective and incomplete in capturing the entire essence of the invitation to God alone. The central focus is The god alone and nothing but the god alone which ever way you achieve that is immaterial, whether through qur'an or self or universe.
Labeling has a self fulfilling prophecy, i.e. . an individual who is labeled has little choice but to conform to the essential meaning of that judgment. Once you are labelled with a particul name sublimanaly you come to accept that label.
Nobody ever label himself, let Omeiza continue to call himself truth alone and lets see if it sticks, it will never stick. And very sincerely, that name truth alone is clothe in hypocrisy because our effort here is to get closer to the truth, that is why we will continue to strive, discern and discriminate to secure ourselves properly on the right path. We are continually in search of truth and we keep refining our understanding as we gain more light of the truth.
How does calling yourself truth alone elimate sectarianism it rather increase it.
Where did Omeiza get the gist from that members of the forums calls themselves quran alone? Free-minds invites to god alone and I quote here;
This website has been created for all people who have a desire to allow God into their lives and follow His path alone...
This website invites all people of various beliefs (Sunni, Shia, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, Bahai, Agnostic, Humanist, and even Atheists) to come and examine for themselves the system of Submission/Islam which is based on God Alone.
Regards,
Kaamil.
