Dear all,

Does anyone know Sam Gerrans' email address?

We have tried to contact him using the form in his website:
https://www.quranite.com/contact/

but no reply (and it has been for quite long time).

We contacted him to ask permission to publish his translation in our web application.

Dear all,

Please find below a sample screenshot (plus explanation) of Word by Word screen in which the application shows corresponding PRL entry for the word selected by the user.

No more switching windows here and there!

Dear all,

We have deployed some improvements to our web application https://www.personalquran.com

Previously newly registered users and anonymous users will have their pre-filtered translations empty and the default font size for arabic is probably too small. While there is setting page to set the pre-filtered translations as well as font size for arabic, having sensible defaults will be convenient. To improve user experience, we have added sensible defaults for pre-filtered translations and arabic font size. The default for pre-filtered translation: the user's own personal translation, base translation, arabic quran, english transliteration, and literal english translation.

We have also added redirection if users are visiting http (not secure) instead of https (secure).

Please check it out.

If you have any input or question, please feel free to reach out to us.

Questions/Comments on the Quran / Re: Quranix and PRL
« on: July 19, 2019, 08:15:04 AM »
Salaam All,
i have been using quranix.org in my studies of the Quran and it is a great resource.  I especially like how you can click on a word and it shows the root as well as the occurrences of that root everywhere in the Quran.  What is missing is the definition of the root according to the Arabic lexicon.  I have to manually go into PRL quran (studyquran.co.uk) and look up the root.  Is there any other way to make this easier? Are the Quranix people looking into displaying the root meaning? It would save a lot of time.

Peace smmirza1,

Yes ...there is a way to make it easier.

We would like to invite you to our web application: https://www.personalquran.com

There you can have what you want:
- From any verse in Quran, select the word of your interest by tapping or clicking (depending what device you use)
- Once a word is selected, the web application will display:
* the breakdown of the word
* the grammar (based on Quranic Arabic Corpus)
* the root meaning in PRL (it is fully integrated with PRL)
- From the breakdown of the word:
* you can tap or click the word to show word concordance (all occurences of the word throughout the Quran)
* you can tap or click the root to show root concordance (all occurences of the root throughout the Quran)

You are absolutely correct, it does save a lot of time!

We hope that the web application does indeed help you study Quran much more effectively.

Peace,
Personal Quran

Greetings!

Who is in charge of www.Quranix.org? It seems to be Edip or someone who worked with him. Whom do I contact? I would like to get Sam's translation up there, and would be willing to help type, copy/paste, etc to get it up. Would anybody help this effort?

Peace progressive1993,

If you have been granted permission from Sam Gerran to publish his translation, we would like to invite you to our website:
https://www.personalquran.com

In our website, one can maintain his personal translation of Quran and PUBLISH it. Once published, everyone on the internet can access the translation to benefit from it.

Dear all,

We would like to add FM translation in our translation repository of our newly launched web application (https://www.personalquran.com). Does anyone know where we can get FM translation in program-friendly format such as CSV, JSON, XML, SQL, etc? This is assuming we are given permission to include the translation in our web app.

Alternatively, since our web app allows one to maintain his personal Quran translation, FM translation team can register to our website and publish FM translation by themselves.
