Peace everyone,

As I read more of the Quran, my confusion and doubts become more resolved. I am thankful for Allah?s guidance. I also see more about all you who have given me advice we're talking about. Thank you!

The 6th Surrah answered a lot of my questions and doubts about the law and mosaic code versus Islamic law.

Two particular quotes of interest:

145:6:Say, ?I find nothing in what All?h has revealed to me that forbids the people to eat anything except it be that which dies of itself, or blood poured forth, or flesh of swine; for (all) this is unclean, or (I find that thing forbidden) what is profane, which has been sacrificed in other than All?h?s name, yet he who is constrained (to eat any of them), having no desire (for that) and having no intention to exceed the limit, (will find that) surely your Lord is Great Protector, Ever Merciful.

148:6:Now those who associate partners (with All?h) say, ?If All?h had (so) willed we would  not have associated partners (with Him), nor would have our forefathers, nor would we have made anything unlawful (of our own);? just as (they deny you) their predecessors cried lies (to their apostles of God) until they suffered Our punishment. Say, ?Have you any knowledge (about it)? Then present it before  us. You  follow naught but mere conjectures, and you do nothing but tell lies.?

I feel a common theme of the Quran that speaks to me is to trust in Allah?s guidance and revelation (which is simple and clear) and not to be swayed by the additions and dilutions of the Rabbis and the theologians.

So I'm going to abstain from pork and alcohol and consider some kind of fast for Ramadan. But I'm not going to abstain from shellfish or keep totally kosher or follow strictly the Jewish prayers except where so moved.

The next sura pretty much confirms it. (7:157) "..... he releases them from their heavy burdens, and from the fetters that were upon them....." An example of these heavy commandments is in 6:146 which im presuming you've read.

And this talk a slave nation from Egypt being chosen by God to teach and expand Gods word among all the other Goyim nations. What is this? Is this fair and merciful ? Isn't it Racists?

And than in the Bible it says Jesus saying : "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel"

What? What about people in Far East? The mogloids, the Africans? The people on other continents across the sea?

Ahh, I forgot, they are not the chosen people, ah makes sense, God created them but, did not choose them. I guess they are not worthy of guidance.

Than we have The Quran, written in Arabic somewhere 1-1,5 thousand years ago. For the whole of mankind. Which part of the world spoke in Arabic a thousand years ago? The whole world? Most probably no. Was Arabic even the lingual Franca of The world, a thousand years ago? Does it make sense to sent a book as guidance for the whole mankind, in Arabic?

I mean, wouldn't it be so much more amazing to send a book of guidance to the all of mankind, in this day and age of High speed connection between people of the world all across the world? In addition, having it to be sent in english, the lingua franca of this day?

Wouldn't it be amazing for a Prophet to create let's say a YouTube channel where he could share the guidance with whole the world in one instant? A miracle in this day and age? Why making things harder.

If I can think about these things and possibility, can't God think about this? I'm I smarter than God himself? Of course not!

Than why ?

Allah states on 40:78 that there were other messengers sent that aren't mentioned in the quran. As the levant (palestine, iraq, lebanon, syria) crosses three major continents, it makes sense for global calls to monotheism to begin there. Traders from arabia, central asia, north africa and Mediterranean europe regularly frequent the levant for trade which provides the perfect breeding ground for a prophet. These traders can then take what they've learnt and spread to other parts of europe, africa and asia.

Peace,

They are trying to deceive you. Allah was telling the prophet to ask the christians and jews who had knowledge in the scripture about the same stories Allah was telling him, so that the prophet would feel more confident.

Peace, today atomic clocks are used which tie back to the initial two time standards of measurements.

10:5 هو he الذى the one جعل made الشمس the sun ضىاء irradiate والقمر and the moon نورا light of وقدره and decree it (masculine i.e. the moon) منازل phases لتعلموا to know ye of عدد number السنىن the years والحساب and the account (i.e. the lunar time standard of measurement) ما not خلق creation الله the god ذلك such الا except بالحق in the truth ىفصل expounds الاىات the signs لعلهم for folk ىعلمون knowing

17:12 وجعلنا and made we of اللىل the night والنهار and the daytime اىتىن signs two فمحونا so erase we of اىه sign اللىل the night وجعلنا and made we of اىه sign النهار the daytime مبصره visible لتبتغوا to pursue ye of فضلا bounty of من from ربكم lord yours ولتعلموا and to know ye of عدد number السنىن the years والحساب and the account (i.e. the solar time standard of measurement) وكل and each شىء thing فصلناه explained we it تفصىلا detailed of

Dont want to interrupt this topic, but would like to say, Quran just clarifies about the way fasting hajj  etc should be practiced as practiced by their ancestors not give an exact timing etc. These are not pure rituals to satisfy God, but in these lies age old customs that were created to achieve common goodness that serves God's purpose. For example fasting and stopping hunting during animal's breeding season is common in some cultures which was taught by nature by preferring those who practice and punishing those who exceed those limit. Sometimes we exceed limit when we fail to see the purpose of our acts, blind idolizing is one such instance.

But anyway its good if people are able to understand the true requirements of fasting and other Islamic rituals then its good, even new rituals could be brought revised and practiced, this  we can achieve when we always wait for his guidance in each and ever action of ours. Let our efforts continue for the common Goodness with his blessings.

Salam Amin,

What you say is partially true and false. Yes the basic tenets of islam such as fasting, pilgrimage, zakat and salat pre date Muhamamad, but to blindly follow what our fathers were doing is against the quran (2:170, 5:104, 7:28, 10:78, 21:53, 26:74, 31:21, 37:69, 43:22/23/24).

I also disagree with how you see the restriction on hunting. You say that the restriction is throughout the entire 4 sacred months? If so, then how can an individual pay the expiation (5:95) of bringing an eatable animal to the kaaba if they do not live near it? Would the restriction not make sense by exercising from the moment one leaves his/her home with an intention to make the hajj until they finish their rituals?

Followers of moon god has made this corruption in the interpretation of these verses of the Quran.

Yes, looking at verses 2:184/2:203 I find it hard to believe that 1 month is what was sanctioned. What is your interpretation?

Salam huruf

28 days is not easy in my opinion and when you look at the focus sunnis and shiites place on the last "ten" days of ramadan it shows that some sort of corruption has taken place, although Allah knows best.

Reply to my first post: I meant first 10 days for every sacred month. Which makes sense, I mean if you allow hajj to be ANYTIME within the 4 months how will you find the time to prepare the necessary facilities as well as clean up in between incoming nations. Imagine if the entire world population, 7 billion people, embrace Islam. Wouldn't it br difficult to manage the hajj without breaks between different incoming nations who speak different languages??

Salam

I've been doing some research and ive finally come to a conclusion, there are two calenders to be followed. Proof? 10:5-It is He Who made the sun a shining thing and the moon as a light and measured out for it stages that you might know the number of years and the reckoning. Allah did not create this but in truth. He explains the Ayat (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) in detail for people who have knowledge.
^^^ this indicates that a lunar calendar is to be followed. But for what purpose? 2:189- They ask you about the new moons. Say: These are signs to mark fixed periods of time for mankind and for the pilgrimage....
Now the evidence for a solar calendar is in 17:12. Naturally, one would assume that this would be contradictory with 10:5 or that the year has to be luni-solar. I disagree with this as the quran is not a contradictory book and that intercalation is completely forbidden(see 9:37). Therefore the only option is two separate calendars. One for religious events such as Hajj and Ramadhan, which are mentioned within the same context between 2:183-203 and seasonal journeys as stated in chapter 106.
Furthermore, on the topic of hajj and ramadhan, I believe them to be 10 days long. Proof? The night of decree. When is the night of decree? First night of ramadhan. What happened? The quran was revealed(2:185). For me this mirrors what happened with moses. When he went to the mount, he stayed for thirty days plus ten(7:142). I always wondered, why plus ten? And then it struck me, could the plus ten be the first ten days after the night of decree in which the taurat was revealed to Moses?? Im not completely sure but thats the vibe I get. The torah mentions that moses fasted during the entire 40 day/night period which I believe to be a corruption, although Allah knows best.

Anyway, thats my opinion. Sorry if this has been brought up before, im new to the forum. Id been struggling to understand this for a long time, but ofcourse this is my fault. Allah tells us that the best time to understand the quran is during the night (73:6)(17:78). For the first time after praying Fajr, I analyse some verses and come up with this. Some food for thought for those who are struggling like me.

Assad was set up, just like in 2013. Remember that failed vote at Westminster to strike assad? Do the math.
