Peace

I did some research about the reading during these last days. I would like your opinions.
The word ?Ramadan? contains the root ?r m d = scorching heat? and the suffix ?a/n? which could mean, now,  the beginning of the ?ramad? (scorching heat). In Arabic, the equivalent of the season is ?alfasl?that I understand as the limit between two seasons.
In the verse 2:185, we read whoever of you can observe the full moon which marks the beginning of the scorching heat season, then make from this night your first night of fasting.

Like the word ?ramadan?, in the word ?alquran? one can see the root ?q r a/ = to read? and the suffix ?a/n? which could mean  now.
To read now, in the present ?
In the word ?alsalat? one can see the word ?sila = the link? and the suffix ?A/t? which could mean to move towards the link?

I will be back to finish my post God willing

Bon app?tit et bonne f?te!

Peace and best wishes

I quickly read it to see if there is a change of our understanding about of the night "alqadr" since our last exchange in November, 2004, page 3 of this thread.
I would like to read comments from other arabc speakers on your article.
You chose a relevant title for your article.

It is a pleasure to read your articles.

Peace be with you all

Peace all,

This is a photograph of full moon that I observed yesterday, it is like a burning sun on the image. However, its color is a little yellow, perhaps because of the artificial lights of the city. I think its color will be darker  in the total darkness of the night.

Alen, IMHO, laylat alqadr = the night of the measure = shahr ramadan is on july 18th (the explication is within Ayman's article), this interpretation is my own contribution to this article.

Peace,

You are correct Platinium, I have just read the information here :

http://www.patricksenecal.com/lune/dates.php

The first site that I have consulted indicated the full moon for July, 2008 is on July 17th, perhaps, I badly read.

Thanks for the rectification.

Best regards.

Peace,

I am sorry if I repeat what was already said by other members.

I have asked the brother Ayman’s view about my first message in this thread (p10), he said :

Quote from: AymanOne thing you might want to consider in the god's laws is that we are told that we should call children after their fahers. Why is Isa called son of Mary, after his mother?

My answer is:
QuoteThe word 'abaihim' included the fathers and / or the mothers.
In 4 :11, we read, abawayhi wich imply the mother and the father. The same word is used in 12:99
Falamma dakhaloo AAala yoosufaawa ilayhi abawayhi waqala odkhuloo misrain shaa Allahu amineena

Best regards.

Peace.

God willing, I will also be fasting the 19th of July. Since, the full moon will be seen on the 18th then that would be the night before fasting, then I would fast Godwilling, on the 19th. Am I understanding this correctly?

You are right, 17th or 18th doesn't matter, when one witnesse the full moon before the dawn, then one can start abstinence on the following day.
I have said 17 th of july according my internet research, please this information should be verified.

IMHO, the dawn (1) marks the end of 16th of july and the beginning and of the following day (17th of july). The 17th of july lasts until the next dawn (2) which marks the begining of the 18th of july.
If you witness the full moon after the dawn (2), then you can start abtinence on 18th of july.
I wish that I'm clear.

It is a pleasure to be back on the forum even for a short time. Thanks you all for your encouragements and warm welcome.

Siyam mubark!

Salam

Marie

Sorry, we can agree on our disagree, my last message you have quoted  doesn't support your theory of the virgin birth of Jesus.

Salam everybody,

Who is the father of Jesus? I think the answer is within the great reading:

19:17. She took to a barrier which separated her from them, so We sent Our Spirit to her, and he took on the shape of a human being in all similarity.
Faittakhathat min doonihim hijabanfaarsalna ilayha roohana fatamaththala laha basharan sawiyyan

IMHO, the messenger who was sent to her is the father of Jesus.

19:18. She said: “I seek refuge with the Almighty from you if you are a person of faith.”
Qalat innee aAAoothu bialrrahmani minka in kunta taqiyyan

The human being mesenger  granted her of a son according the creator laws. Like 7.189 (see below), the humanbeing messenger dwelled with her, then she became pregnant.

19:19. He said: “I am the messenger of your Lord, to grant you the gift of a pure son.”
Qala innama ana rasoolurabbiki li-ahaba laki ghulaman zakiyyan

19:20. She said: “How can I have a son when no human being has been with me, nor have I desired such?
Qalat anna yakoonu lee ghulamunwalam yamsasnee basharun walam aku baghiyyan

It is easy for a female and its mate to have a baby if  they submit to the creator laws (7:189).

19:21. He said: “It is such that your Lord has said, it is easy for Me. And We shall make him a sign for the people and a mercy from Us. It is a matter already ordained.”
Qala kathaliki qalarabbuki huwa AAalayya hayyinun walinajAAalahu ayatan lilnnasiwarahmatan minna wakana amran maqdiyyan

19:22. So she was pregnant with him, and she went to deliver in a far place.
Fahamalat-hu faintabathatbihi makanan qasiyyan

7:189. He is the One who created you from one person, and He made from it its mate to reside with. 1) When he dwelled with her, 2) she became pregnant with a light load, and she continued with it; then when it became heavy, they called on God, their Lord: “If You give us an upright child, then we will be among the thankful.”
Huwa allathee khalaqakum min nafsinwahidatin wajaAAala minha zawjaha liyaskunailayha 1)falamma taghashshaha 2)hamalat hamlan khafeefan famarrat bihi falamma athqalatdaAAawa Allaha rabbahuma la-in ataytanasalihan lanakoonanna mina alshshakireena

Like the believing woman who granted herself to the prophet (33:50), the human being messenger granted mary of a son by granting hisself to her.

33:50. O prophet, We have made lawful for you the wives to whom you have already given their dowries, and those who are committed to you by oath, as granted to you by God, and the daughters of your father's brothers, and the daughters of your father's sisters, and the daughters of your mother's brothers, and the daughters of your mother's sisters, of whom they have emigrated with you. Also, the believing woman who granted herself to the prophet, the prophet may marry her if he wishes, as a privilege given only to you and not to the believers. We have already decreed their rights in regard to their spouses and those who are committed to them by oath. This is to spare you any hardship. God is Forgiver, Merciful.

Idem, Zachariah asked the creator to grant him a progeny according the god laws.
3:38. It was then that Zachariah called on his Lord, he said: “My Lord, grant me from You a good progeny, You are the hearer of prayers.”

Peace GloryBeToOurGod,

You are right, the first full moon is visible the 17th of July, then the first day of abstinence will be started the 18th of July.
Sorry for my big mistake.

Thanks for your good question.

I wish to modify the title of my first post but I do not see the button  modify beside quote".
