First concept of God is to be understood than the question oof Quran to be from God will arise.

Does presnt highly technologically advanced world requires a supersticious concept of a supernatural diety to be accepted as master lord of universe and to  rely upon. Every civilzation has given a name to such a non existing supernatural diety since ages in all languages and these languages have been developed by human itself during an evolutionary course of milloion of years and attributed words names to objects, state, activites. So is the case with thsat diety. In english it is "GOD" in hindi it is"BHAGWAN", in farsi it is "AHARMAN & YZDAN" in egypy it was "OSIRIS" in greek it was "SATURN" "JUPITER" etc. and in arabic it is "ALLAH" which may have its originn from dead aramic or hebrew.

So the first point is to define what GOD is? what is its concept? than define what is a religion? why a human need it? if not than what is it that human should take guidance from?

Moreover why maculine gender like "HE", "HIM" "HIS" are used for Allah or God? every thing is differentiated and recognised, identified, specified  from its opposite, so if God is HE a male than it must be different from a female, and differnce is based on physical structure, so Allah or God must be having male organ and also reproductive organ also otherwise that God cant be called as HE HIM HIs, but this all unacceptable.

All explanations, clarification should be logicall and scintific and justifiable.
Why a person should seek guidance from a book existing in arabic language attributed to a supernatural male diety, is that diety commonluy called as ALLAH or GOD is arabic? why should a person first take pains to learn arbic language and than seek guidance. If allah is master of entire universe than it should have sent guidance in all languages to all people of world but why arabic? why one should follow arabs and arabic cultural and customs?

How can one explain logically that this mterialistically arabic book called as Quran and other scriptures as claimed by aother reliogionists such as bilble etc are from that unseen supernatural non material diety? is it logically acceptable?

Suppose a person to day declares that he is a messenger of god and reveletions are being sebnt down upon him by an unseen spicie called as angel, will any one believe on him?

So the concept of a humanly God is self created and illogical.
Wha we have with us in front and around us is nature and its laws in universe, which we are supposed to accept and follow. As faras the creator is concerned we are not obliged to serach it out and to implore  and beg to it, worship it su[persticiously please it by bowing down , prostrating, offering sacrifices of animals, that creator what ever it is does not demand us to do all these ritual self made worshipping activities.

All those persons who are called as prophets or messengers are actually reformers, revoluionists, intellegent philosphers who mioght have revolotionalized thier socities in which they live and they all must have ben messengers of laws of nature.

The cretaor of this universe does not at all ionterfere in human matters, not concerned with any activity. Laws have been gine to us by that creator which we have to follow, Tjhat LAW is actually God or Allah.

Quran was also written by Mohammad  arabic in his mother language in arabic society after deep observing nature and his society. He must have been a great philospher, tourist, traveller, trader, ihtellegent person a wealthy powerful educated man of his time whio revolutinalized his system.

Constructive positive comments/replies are highly appriciable and respected.

salamun alaikum all

The real fact is that, The creator of this universe has given us only one book which is "Al-Quran" which is the operating manual of the most complicated machine on this earth human created by The God, having proper operating procedures, truoble shootings and remedial. This book is for all time and ages. it can't be confined to a particular time period. It is not a book of history as has been mentioned at least 8 times in quran that it  is not "asateer-ul-awwaleen", and 21:10 tells us us that it is for us present continious time, the preriod we are living in.

The word
kitab
means written one, weatehr a line, a sentence, a para or a booklet or a detailed complied binding. so "books" plural refers to each ayat of quran and does not mean any previous scriptures by the name of Injeel, torat, zaboor. These are atributed names of Allah's book like
furqan", burhan, sultan, haq, rehmat, hikmat, zikr etc, re tese also some separates books, whereas Allah has said that his words his ls never changes, so why deos he needs to reveal different Books?

All those ordered ayats are calld as torat and their sermon is injeel and zaboor is pieces of differnt instructions or part of Book.
Nowhere in Quran it is stated that Moosa was given Taurat, instead Moosa was given the Book. The book is present all the time and all the messengers gets understanding from the book by Allah  and presched to masses according gto the situation which is the main assignment of a messenger, and messenger will continue , there will be no end..

Quote from: "Danish"Peace all,

In my understanding, the question doesn't befit to pray (salaat) 5 times, 3 times or 1 time, the question is why one must pray towards a man-made stone/brick structure/building regardless of any time? Even if one prays towards this idol/icon, why one must say/proclaim the very Words/Verses back to GOD for what has been proclaimed upon us, such as surah al-naas, surah al-ikhlaas, surah al-falaq, etc.? The Quran, in book form, is meant to be read, understood, reflected and acted upon for us humans, in order to live a basic righteous life.

Why would anyone speak to GOD by saying ?in the name of GOD? rather than ?O GOD? or ?Ya Allah? or ?O my Lord? when directly addressing and speaking to HIM? When GOD is within us and as close to our jugular veins, then what keeps one from praying (as in dua, not sallaa) via our minds and hearts (as in meditation) than to bow and prostrate towards a physical structure which serves no purpose and which has been destroyed and rebuilt several times? Why would GOD send HIS messenger to construct a rock structure and have us bow, prostrate, circumvent and revere it MORE than HIM, alongwith others and at the same time prohibit, warn and punish us from worshipping anything other than HIM by sending this very message via the same messenger? What justification lies therein Quran?

Beautiful danish

Yur understanding is absolutely on the right path. i strongly agree to u. Scintifically and geographically also i think it is not possible to face to wards that cubical building situated in the city of Mecca in saudi arabia, due to the curve after evry 50 miles( earth being sphircal.) and not flat If a person is in Los Angeles, which is almost opposite side of the globe from Mecca than to which direction will he face during ritual namaz ? west or east? If it is thought of as an imaginary symbol of unity, than where the unity is among so called muslim countries? many so called muslim countries have different laws, (look at the system of government in Pakistan & Saudi Arabia) more over so called muslim ummah is devided ito various political & religious  sects/groups such as Hanafi/shafi/hanbli/malki/asna ashri/sunni/ismaili/bohri/darozi/barelvi/deobandi/qadiyani/ahmadi/mirzai/bahai/ahl-hadis/tablighee/jamati/chistiya/saharvardiya/qadriya  and each group is happy in what ever thjey are following and differin their beliefs and concepts of namaz/isam and called each oters as "kafirs" and no each sect perform namaz with each other and considers a sin. SO WHERE IS THE UNITY? IF THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN A UNITY THAN THERE WOULD WOULD HAVE BEEN ONE HEAD OF ALL THE SO CALLED MUSLIM COUNTRIES, AND MUSLIM UMMAH WOULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT POWER OF THE EARTH.

So ritual practice of namaz is siply a wastage of time and iman, a short cut to seek the favour of our creator withiout doing any soild beneficial work, and violation of human rights when a call is announced on loud speakers disturbing the peace of people.

This is SCARY for many of us. How are we to believe that everything we've been taught so far about praying can be wrong, yet everyone who claims to use Quran Alone methodology is also giving differing opinions. I fear that many will be distraught even more by all this. What are we to do?

For me as for many others here the salat issue was the most confusing thing. Of course, we wanna make it right. So is it five times? three times? this way? that way?

After quite a while of reading, learning, and thinking it all over, I just started to do my salat regularly (mostly three times sometimes more) and found what I was looking for. After some days or weeks I understood why we are always asked to perform our salat: I felt connected to my Creator and this gives me strength and comforts me. This showed me that I was right.
I?ve long abandoned the dogmatic rituals of praying towards a man-made idol-worshipping rock structure, regardless of 3 times, 5 times, this way or that way. I also learnt that most of what I used to pray during the rituals was not at all for/to GOD. I?ve always understood salaat to mean commitments, obligations, duties, etc. since the day I first got introduced to Aidid Safar's article (some 2 years ago).

My salaat are the obligations and duties that challenge me to serve and live them in light of the Quran as per my ways of life in the most righteous manner. That, by itself, is not easy to maintain, hence one must strive to keep up to prescribed obligations and duties by practice and adherence via reason, prudence and self-righteousness.

Dear Danish
salamun alaikum

Yes i agree to u that salat is our obligations/responsibilities/duties/commitments/assigned jobs to be performed within our limitations in the light of quranic laws with dedication, devotion to get fruitful results beneficial fr u and society. Our job, taking care of family/relatives/neighbours/orphans/needy people, training teachin education of children, all comes under salat.
I also quit ritual zorostrian namaz a year ago completely forever as well as my wife, brother and his wife.
