Why shirk is a gross sin and unforgivable!
Some say it's related to this verse:
[59:23] He is the One God; there is no other god besides Him. The King, the Most Sacred, the Peace, the Most Faithful, the Supreme, the Almighty, the Most Powerful, Al Mutakabbir (المُتَكَبِّرُ). God be glorified; far above having partners.
They said "Al Mutakabbir (المُتَكَبِّرُ)" means proud/arrogant. AND that's why if anybody commits shirk, this attribute (Al Mutakabbir) supersedes other attributes such as the Forgiver and the Merciful.
How about the translation of "proud/arrogant"? it's valid or not!
*I do not know arabic so i hope someone here (who has expertise in arabic) can confirm it!
Note:
Translation in openburhan for "المُتَكَبِّرُ": the greatened/proud/arrogant
