:)
I don't think the so called "mainstream" muslims would put a subject such as this into the trash pile.
But I'm guessing the poll promoted it to go into the trash can.
don't know why this went into the trash either Far. It seems like a reasonable question and one that has been discussed on FM, though there has been no poll about it. perhaps it needs to be phrased:
Owing to your understanding of Islam under the direction of following the Quran alone, which forms of sexual intercourse do you think are permitted ?

Peace. That is what I meant, but I wanted to keep the question short. I suppose I should have put this in some other section of the forum.
OK i voted viginal only
222. They ask thee concerning women's courses. Say: They are a hurt and a pollution: So keep away from women in their courses, and do not approach them until they are clean. But when they have purified themselves, ye may approach them in any manner, time, or place ordained for you by Allah. For Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean.
223. Your wives are as a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth when or how ye will; but do some good act for your souls beforehand; and fear Allah. And know that ye are to meet Him (in the Hereafter), and give (these) good tidings to those who believe.

peace BT, I know that is what you meant. It really didn't need to be phrased that way but perhaps it did for the mod that deleted it. I think it is a significant and relevant question. I was always taught that Islam governs all aspects of our lives and nothing should be a taboo subject. It is also unfair that a post can be moved to the trash with no reason given.
Mods, can we be told the reason this post was moved to the trash or can we get it moved back to an appropriate place ?
No mod deleted the thread, apparently it was created in here and perhaps that is what the OP meant when they said "I suppose I should have put this in some other section of the forum.". What section would one like this moved to I should ask, before there is mass dissatisfaction with the section it is moved to by a mod?
There were two identical threads most probably posted by the same author. One was active and the other was idle. I deleted the idle one, but that was after I read the posts on this thread (after the 4th post by Bosnian Thinker)
Two identical threads huh. Where was the other one created? If in General I suppose I could move this there, sounds like the OP should be fine with it, don't know about the others.
One was in OT and the other in Trash
No need to get snarky savage.
"I suppose I should have put this in some other section of the forum." could be interpreted to mean that the OP had posted it in one section where it didn't belong and so it was moved to the trash.
It would be better suited to marriage, health or off topic.
BT, why did you create it in trash ?
Snarky? I suppose it depends on one's interpretation.
Bosnian Thinker, am moving this to OT as the other thread.
*more snarkiness

Sorry everyone. That was a mistake I made. I was in the trash section of the forum at the time and I created this post there. I created another similar post in a different section, but it was deleted by one of the moderators. Can this please be moved to where the other post I started was at before being deleted?

Peace. How did you derive your answer of vaginal only by studying these two verses? In both of them, God tells us that men may approach women in any manner. I believe that all three forms are allowed, and I think these two verses strongly reinforce that. Peace.

Peace. I'm having a hard time with this one. Do you know the Classical Arabic definitions of the word? Peace.

In 2:228, where it says that men are a step/degree/level above women, is this promoting the missionary position?

The degree or rather advantage mentioned in the verse is to be limited to the topic of the verse: the 3idat. The man does not have to wait any time to remarry after a divorce or death of his wife.
It doesn't say that. It could mean that men have to wait longer. Or it just be making an unrelated statement about the missionary position :sun:
