Peace be upon you!

My name is Hafiz and I joined this forum because I'm interested in listening to God Alone perspective. I'm still not sure whether to give up hadith entirely... but then I keep asking myself, if Umar and Abu Bakr are still alive today, wouldn't they burn the hadith books or prohibit the sayings? as stated in the hadiths...

I'm only interested in truth and I ask God to guide me.

Hafiz

P.S. I'm from Australia! Anyone else? (:

Peace. Welcome to the forum.
39:18 The ones who listen to what is being said, and then follow the best of it. These are the ones whom God has guided, and these are the ones who possess intelligence.

Salaam,

Welcome.

Not sure why you want to know what Umar and Abu Bakr would do. What would Hafiz do?

Salaam.

Greetings and Peace, all

@Hafiz:  :welcome:

There are some informative articles on the main page. These may, ISA, help you reference AQ for maximum effect.  You may wish to verify some translations; http://corpus.quran.com/ is an excellent resource for doing so (and it contains many translations as well).

5:47 And let the people of the Gospel judge with what GOD has sent down in it. And whoever does not judge with what GOD has sent down, then these are the wicked.

6:114 "Shall I seek other than GOD as a judge when He has sent down to you the Book fully detailed?" Those to whom We have given the Book know it is sent down from your Lord with the truth; so do not be of those who have doubt.

6:116 And if you obey most of those on the earth they will lead you away from the path of GOD; that is because they follow conjecture, and that is because they only guess.

7:185 Have they not looked at the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that GOD has created? Perhaps their time is drawing near; so in which narrative [ḥadīthin] after this one will they believe?

16:89 And the Day We send to every nation a witness against them from themselves, and We have brought you as a witness against these. And We have sent down to you the Book as a clarification for all things, and a guidance and a mercy and good tidings to those who have submitted.

17:36 And do not uphold what you have no knowledge of. For the hearing, eyesight, and heart, all these you are responsible for.

25:30 And the messenger said: "My Lord, my people have deserted this Qur'an."

29:51 Is it not enough for them that We have sent down to you the Book that is being recited to them? In that is a mercy and a reminder for people who believe.

39:23 GOD has sent down the best narrative [l-ḥadīthi], a Book that is similar, dual. The skins of those who are concerned towards their Lord shiver from it, then their skins and their hearts soften up to the remembrance of GOD. Such is the guidance of GOD; He guides with it whoever He wills. And for whoever GOD misguides, then none can guide him.

68:36 What is wrong with you, how do you judge?
68:37 Or do you have a book which you study?
68:38 In it, you can find what you wish?

May ALLAH see fit to Guide all seekers.

Welcome aboard brother Hafiz,

Disregarding the apocryphal narrations would be the most wise, and intellectually honest choice to make (45:6). Put your trust in G?D (alone), and adhere to His Guidance the most closely and accurately you can. ALLH gave us brains to think, and a Book to learn from. Peace be unto you ^_^

Thank you so much everyone who welcomed me!

Thank you es (What would I do?) - you really got me thinking!

Thank you Abdul Hadi for your long list of verses - it is convincing me!

Thank you hicham9 for your comments. I'm very much inclined to do the most "intellectual honest" thing.

Thank you again the rest for welcoming me and for your responses! This is a new journey for me and you people have been awesome for your support! Looking forward to learn more

Salaam hafiz04

Welcome brother, please feel free to expose knowledge in this forum.
Even hadith is not fabricated, we forbidden take somthings beside Quran for our guidance (77:50, 45:6).

All right. I can't take it anymore... after two days of reading various materials and debating within myself...

There is no god but GOD ALONE.

I am 19 years old and for the past 5 years, I've been Sunni but then I had a lot of doubts in the past one year (esp. on reconciling my scientific and political views with Sunni Islam) ... I think this is not a coincident.
