Is it possible to do Salat without doing the ritual washing?

If Salat means following closely and 2 Quran reading/study sessions per day, can I do those without washing?

Could it be that 5:6 is specific for a gathering Salat?

Thank you

Peace brother Rilum..

Good to see you after a while..

Well it seems like some people have not got what Allah has stated in verse 4:43 and 5:6.. These are very simple and manifest verses but still I give my comprehensive understanding on these two verses..

First of all you took Salat as closely following and it seems you took it as reading Quran.. In my case big No.. I am not here to debate on that..  God has said read Quran in black and white without refering any body wash.. But Salat is definitely Not merely reading Quran... Anyway leave that aside..

When one is dirty to the extent other than having a complete bath there is no solution... If one has had a bath then there is no four steps of body parts washing or even thyamam...  Full body wash nullfies both..
But even after having a full body wash if one happens to go to routine then ensure to clean what you need to clean....common sense .. So God's explanation is manifest...

After Full body wash  = Yes for Salah (no other steps)

No full body wash = Yes for salah but do four steps with water. ...

No full body wash (No water) = Yes for Salah but thayamam..

Had Sex with wife,  Sick,  after toilet etc = Yes for Salah but wash what you have to wash.. For example you don't need to have a complete bath after coming from toilet... Do you?  No.. Just wash the area where you need to wash.. Then if you complete four steps then salah.. But if you have already had a complete body wash before toilet or sex then directly to salah.. But even you had a complete bath ensure to wash relevant areas if you happen to go toilet or if you have sex,  no need complete body wash again...

Your complete body won't become unclean for doing your routine (toilet)  or having sex with wife.. Your complete body is unclean if one doesn't have bath while he is due with natural dirt...
For example if you are someone who is having bath morning and evening then forget about four steps.. Just perform Salat. But needless to say ensure you clean relevant areas after sex or after toilet... Without doing so don't near salat..

Note : some still wonder after having sex do we have to have a complete body wash to consider ourselves clean?  No.. God has never ever said so. Having sex or going to toilet won't make us dirty..

Two conditions we should never near salah..

1... Intoxicated and not knowing what we utter.. Your salah is meaningless... Don't perform Salat..

2... You are dirty physically and you have water but not willing to have a full body wash ... Don't near salah...  Until you have full body wash... Don't perform Salah.. All other occasions perform salah and never miss.  .

In both above situations if you happen to perform salah you are mocking the God... One reason you are not by yourself coz intoxicated and other reason is you never want to be clean but you are trying to be clean by performing Salat ... How come you can be clean from heart while you don't want to be clean physically...

Wakas

Quran implies the regular/timed salat of the mumineen would usually be communal/congregational hence why I think one of the reasons is the washing/cleanliness aspect. Other aspects could be priming/mindset, specialness of the undertaking etc.

I suppose if you were doing it alone then it is up to you but Quran doesn't seem to give an exception for that choice.

The thing which I not understand is, what if I dont wash my feet or my head, will my Salat be declined? Or if I dont do the ritual washing at all? It is a difficult question for me.

Wakas

Well one of the interesting aspects of the regular/timed salat of the mumineen is that there is no discussion to my knowledge, as per Quran, on acceptance/rejection of it by God, no expiation/punishment for missing it etc.

The above topic is rarely discussed but it has been discussed here:

Exactly. Maybe the ritual washing could be meant for congegrations.

Fusion

The verse you referred to, Surah Al-Ma'ida (5:6), refers to the washing of specific body parts (face, hands, arms, and feet) for ablution before performing the Salat. It is not specific to any particular type of prayer, including the congregational prayer.
