Off-Topic / if you were a pet
« on: September 21, 2017, 03:09:31 AM »
This is a little bit of a random talk, but imagine if you were a cat will you prefer to live indoor where you have a safe shelter and plenty of food that someone else is providing for you, or outdoor where you can go wherever you want and only relie on yourself to guarantee your food and safety.

Knowing that, or maybe not knowing that your chance of dying out there is pretty high, will you live indoor* where chances of dying are very low but without your freedom, or will you live outdoor* where your chances of dying are pretty high but with your entire freedom ?

In a more abstract way, will you choose to take full responsibility of your life even if it implies facing constant life threatening danger, or will you relay part of that responsibility to someone else (higher than you) and live under that person's protection and supply for as long as you can but cage yourself inside that dude's appartement ?

General Issues / Questions / Wizardry

everything vanished from yesterday at a specific time. guest count went from 90+ to ~9.
I suspect that there is a  wizard using some sort of time travel babylonian witchcraft, and maybe there is some spell on the guest count making it  display false numbers. I don't know what to believe  :o [X-files soundtrack playing]

General Issues / Questions / Who satan is
« on: July 29, 2017, 03:36:03 PM »
It's very important to know who satan is.......(lame introduction, I know)

in general, satan is everything put in the human as an inside test. A test of integrity, a test of 'how much you follow God'.

this satan phenomena is identified to be mainly operating through feelings, and thoughts induced from feelings.

operating through feelings:
-satan will put weigh on a person's will, and attempt to change it and/or dissuade it:
e.g: lazyness, curiosity, feeling of boredom, fear, envy.
You may say these are everyday feelings and it's fine to give in to.
-However, as the person gives up more and more to these feelings, the person becomes more and more accessible, controlable by satan.
what happens then, when the person gets angry ?
acts upon it.
what happens when the person gets sexually aroused or wish for company or feels 'too lonely' ?
Acts upon it.
-The person may feel guilty, but even then satan doesn't spare and will drag the person even down for more harm.

The way to getting controlled by satan more and more easily is by losing control of oneself little by little. And to lose control is to be less aware of yourself, and for that you need to lose that bond you have to your Consciousness (which I believe is emanated from God). From small feelings the person becomes slave to satan. It doesn't happen all of a sudden but it happens like a crumbling sand castle.

And strangely enough, to remain conscious and aware of what you do, i.e to keep everything you do purposeful is quite challenging. We are easily prompted to do things that we judge to be minor but that we didn't consciously decide to do, the idea just pops out and you wanna do it. And then something else pops up and you do it and at some point you become controlled. And that leads to the common known 'sins'. Inevitably.

so I say this to you and to myself, feelings are not your friend, they are so close to us and for some reason we trust them and act upon them just because, but there is a great chance those feelings are obstacles and a tool of satan. I'm not saying eradicate your feelings or panic everytime you feel something, but I'm saying that one should remain conscious, feelings are part of the human, and so is Satan.

Quran says: 'Satan is your enemy, so treat him as an enemy. He only invites his party to be the dwellers of Hell.'

From the bible: 'Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.'

This pattern of the person that needs to watch over itself from itself is very common and is an old wisdom.

lastly, excuse my english.

General Issues / Questions / Awareness of the Ancients
« on: May 15, 2017, 06:17:48 AM »
I read these in another thread, and I was going to reply there but I finally decided to make a thread out of it.

What I understand by seal of prophets, is that if anybody claims something regarding God, and our identity as divine creatures to whom God addresses Himself we may check it against the Qur'an, if it is consistent with it, it is valid prophecying, if not it is not.

So was explicitely stated, Quran is the tool by which one can tell the right from wrong, and if anyone claims something about God or relating things we should go back to Quran.

I'm very glad the person who said that formulated it that clear because now I can see clearer into what is happening around the world and throughout time, and I can perhaps formulate my take on this.

The reason behind what was said is exactly the same for one who is for example born a christian and later becomes a "good" christian and judges right or wrong by his Book. Or a Sunni, or a Hindu, or even one who becomes a Quranist.

Let's now suppose that all of these religions were right, and their book were the tools that meant for them to verify what is right from what is wrong. What made the first people who were invited to them even accept them? Did they check them against their prior books or beliefs ?

Let's move to Quran in particular, what made those first muslims become muslims ? Did they check Muhammad's saying against their original beliefs, i.e their paganism ? What was Muhammad asking them for ?

What was Muhammad asking them for:

Moses, to people of Pharaoh [Quran,20:25+]

"My Lord, cool my temper

And make this matter easy for me

And untie a knot from my tongue

So they can understand my speech."

So people are required to have a certain understanding and awareness in order for them to be able to recognize the truth and those who don't, their parable is the following in the quran 2:71

"And so, the parable of those who're bent on denying the truth is that of the beast which hears the shepherd's cry, and hears in it nothing but the sound of a voice and a call. Deaf are they, and dumb, and blind: for they do not use their reason."

Now, looking back at the world, the world is mostly divided into a number of religious communities, each rejoicing what they have. Do you think that nowaday people still have this awareness that people of old time were required to have in order for them to even [1] recognize the truth and [2] accept it, live by it ?

And in case of a, supposedly, up to date prophecy/teaching, will they even be able to tell the right from wrong? Or will they automatically go back to what they have between their hands ?

These questions are rhetorical.

P.S: I'd like to reiterate to the person who wrote the statement that I quoted, this is not about you, and I thank you a lot for expressing it in a clear way. This is the reality and I do not expect you to defend yourself, as much as I'd like you and other people to discuss what I just said in its integral.

TRASH / Forum Suggestion: Stop banning Man Of Faith

Thank you, much appreciated.

Off-Topic / How To Fight Desires
« on: April 18, 2017, 01:33:58 PM »
How to fight your desires, don't fight them!

When you feel something in your chest trying to get out, beating through your heart, let it speak, listen to it with a cleared mind, i.e stop thinking for a second and listen to that "feeling" in your chest. Do not let it get to your mind, do not discuss it, do not debate it, do not think about it or try to rationalize with it, because chances are that you will lose.
Just let it express itself and it will go away as soon at it realizes that nobody is responding.

But there is a challenge of being able to tell that the beast is speaking, sometimes it is not as obvious as in sexual desires, so many times you'll find out that posts you have written in this very same forum were based on ego or pride or some other things that the beast in you have contributed to. And if you listen to the silence and the peacefulness in you more often it will become easier and easier to tell whenever that peacefulness is disturbed by satan.
And we should seek to re-establish that peacefulness through peacefulness only.

Finally, if the famous "I seek refuge in Allah from satan" is anything then it must be the act of listening to our inner peace and preserving it.

Take care.

Off-Topic / Grace v. Nature
« on: March 13, 2017, 02:44:13 AM »
The nuns taught us there are two ways through life, the way of Nature and the way of Grace. You have to choose which one you'll follow.

Grace doesn't try to please itself. Accepts being slighted, forgotten, disliked. Accepts insults and injuries.

Nature only wants to please itself. Get others to please it too. Likes to lord it over them. To have its own way. It finds reasons to be unhappy when all the world is shining around it. And Love is smiling through all things.

General Issues / Questions / Religion vs Spirituality
« on: January 25, 2017, 04:17:46 AM »

To what extent do you think this is truthful ?  Note that the image above is just an introduction. No need to discuss it word for word. My point is the following:

Do you think a certain Book of God is sent locally, i.e whatever it contains, it is meant for a certain people of a certain location at a certain time ?

Take the example of the Quran, the slaves directives for example(i.e this isn't the point), whoever reads it says "well this is obviously not for today", and for some other cases. What if all of it was meant for a specific people at a certain time?  Much of its the context is in Arabia, 1400 years ago. However, the wisdom.

What if, the Truth that is in the wisdom of the Quran and many of the previous books or even in the Dhapammada isn't something that needs a "trademark" of God on it, rather, you know it and you recognize it as the truth (spiritually) [its trademark is the wisdom in it, not the book being the book that it is] and the challenge is to follow it, since that is the only challenge at the end of the day. There is never a challenge in accepting something, specially out of ignorance.

I'm saying, what if the truth (that is recognizable) is not supposed to go in a this or that specific Book throughout the time ? You have muslims saying in their majority that the bible is corrupted, and christians saying quran is from the devil (this is not the point, no need to discuss what christians/muslims think).

Quran contains rants against "the jews" and "the christians" and I believe this is a rant against the delusions of those people. If my thought is right, then if there is ever a book to come (hypothetically) it will probably rant against "the muslims" since muslims are just another group of people who claim the superiority of their Book to the one of the christians and jews, eventhough in the very same Quran it confirms the wisdom of the Bible and the Torah (Notice how it rants the people who claim to follow those books at the same time).

Appreciate any thoughts.
