Quran does encourage the study of scientific phenomena in nature to explore deeper insights into the Divine wisdom of creation. But the philosophy of Quran is not materialistic for the pursuit of scientific knowledge, nor does it support attachments to the worldly matters of politics and economics that is frequently associated with the advancement of science and technology. The knowledge should rather produce greater conviction in the works of Divinity, and the recognition of Divine Power as the fundamental source of human capacity to discover and employ the hidden treasures of science in nature. The knowledge of science can help humanity to overcome the spiritual diseases of corruption and immorality by destroying the false idols of ignorance, wastefulness, and irresponsibility.
