Someone

Peace,

A "muslim" in arabic translates as a "peacemaker", in opposition to a "troublemaker" as outlined in:

68 The Pen (Al-Qalam)
68:35  أفنجعل المسلمين كالمجرمين

A "muslim" is a description, not a label or a trademark.

Man of Faith

It is arguable about what Selam means, but the most used is Peace like you said although I do not agree with it.

Health is a kind of peace though. However, I would argue the root Siin-Lam-Waw means peace/consolation/comfort.

When you greet someone with Selam you wish them good health, basically, much like you did when a lot of people used to say "hail" before Adolf Hitler put that word ultimately to death.

Be well
