Peace,

I still don't understand it. Why couldn't most people be made for Paradise?

I understand that people have free will but God's will comes before our free will because what we decide to do with our free will is already written. God knew what we were going to believe and our actions before we were even born.

Freewill is mystery in human mind..

Start of human story what human itself can verify.

He/she come into planet without his will.
He/she come with a nation/label/religion without his will.
He/she come with a country/family/society without his will.
He/she inherit features/fingerprints/face/complexion without his will...

As he/she grows he/she been put in school/academey/madrasa/institute without his will..
He/she get trained by the bringers(parents/guardians) without his will....

One day he/she manage to control the life with his will.. when he/she get young

New episodes dramatically comes in life without his/her wish some of them are like ....
Failure in family life.
Failure in bsuiness life.
Failure in healthy life..
And lot more things...

One day he /she leave this planet without his will...

Do we really have free will ?

We willed for lot of things in life and in the end we encounter with the murder of our wishes..

Sometimes positive things(our will) also happen just for a time being and the same positive thing appear as a burden in reality when we reach at future... The only suspense and happiness is hope for good and most of the times our hopes for good turned in to nightmares of past... Example in hope a person start a business/relationship/xyz without knowing the future outcome...

The thinking of all depression/uncontrolled freewill a human can have as a real freewill.. he is free to think about all of it  :rotfl:

Human somehow understand that reality , he/she was never been a freewilled..the name of that feeling called unsatisfaction.

God has the power to create evil and when He does He has the power to recompense that evil. Why should He be limited to only create "good"/believers. Unless you believe He isn't just, then you would limit him to only creating good.

Salam.

Evil is simply the absence of good and not a creation in itself (just like dark is the absence of light).

God does not create evil - but mankind has the ability to abandon goodness and therefore create evil circumstances.

This world would have been a paradise if we all behaved - unfortunately, we are petty and selfish and destructive and have created misery where there could have been abundance and happiness.
`And when God Alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter are filled with aversion; and when others are mentioned beside Him, they rejoice!` (The Quran 39:45)

Salam. Man is still responsible but God did create evil. 113:1 Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn. From (the) evil of what He created..."

No one was born as a  believer, once we understand the mightiness of the creation, and his signs, and understand we are being supported for our existence, we believe.

The Karma/Deed will spread multiple lifespans until one reaches paradise, is some traditional understanding, Quran too is not so different, and these beliefs are some answers to many of our questions about why we I and our existence. Quran says life is a test so do many other religions... so we tried to be good, the world teaches us how being good, and the multiple kitabs and the hadeeths and Stories helps us.  we do  pray, zakat, help, pilgrimage, fasting, go Veg,  etc etc other ways to get the God's favor, and its true we become positive and benefit doing these... and also we see failures too following blind belief, alchoholism, wife beating, slavery, cruelty to animals, excessive indulgence etc etc... so life is a mixture, and belief is believing in The goodness provider... which we forget due to our ego, greed.

Our will is part of God's will. So i think we have free will only if we ignore there is a God's will.

Why should people be made for paradise ? what is the purpose of life is the first question to ask.

People have a free will you say, do they really ?

Perhaps they do..

If God's will come before your free will, then you actually don't have a free will.

To find out, reflect on your life experience so far.
Did you came to this universe out of your will?
Did you choose the context of your birth out of your will?
Did you choose the tradition, culture, religion, ethnicity, race, gender, name, nationality, language that your were born into out of your will?
Can you control all aspect of your body out of your will?
Did you control how your body growth from toddler to today?
Can you control your body to not to grow cancer?

One guy, a very powerful one, one year before his death, come into this realization.

He wrote that on a letter to his friend on April 4, 1864
A year later, on April 14, 1865, somebody shot his head while he was watching a theater play.

As if making a symbolic statement that the life in this universe is nothing but a theatrical play where you are among the actor/actress with a role to play.

"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances;"
-- Shakespeare

philosophy and religion always put forth the ideas and concepts related with this particular issue what we know as free-will..
sometimes both religion and philosophers give theories against each other..

moreover interpreters also interpret things in such a way that READER can easily get confuse about that concept.

that concept is bit hard to understand seems author of Quran also struggle understanding it..

76:3 We have shown him the way, whether he be grateful or ungrateful.
                                          vs
14.4 Then ALLAH leaves to go astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And He is the Mighty, the Wise..

so even with QURAN we cannot come to  final solution about freewill..

EVEN science cant really explain freewill or do we have freewill.. :peace:

We are merely the product of our environment. Free will is a pure illusion.
