Show me the verse from the Quran where it say "This is the WORD OF GOD"..
Same to you.. bring your proof.. if you're truthful..

You are not only extremely ignorant, but according to the Qur'an you are a kafir. It's your choice of course, I'm merely warning you because I care about human beings. There are so many peope on this forum who pretend to be Muslim when they are clearly not.

Peace jafar.

Here are some of the verses that say/confirm it is the word of GOD:
2:213, 2:285, 3:3, 3:4, 3:98,  4:163, 6:4, 6:114, 6:115, 6:157, 7:3, 7:6, 7:52, 21:2, 21:10, 21:27, 23:58, 27:84, 29:46. 29:47, 33:39,

37:3, 4O:83, 41:41, 41:44, 54:17, 56:77-80, 73:52, 73:54...

Peace.

Peace good logic,

Thanks, there are of course a lot more...

And as I posted earlier, God says in verse 2:85:

After this it is ye, the same people, who slay among yourselves, and banish a party of you from their homes; assist (Their enemies) against them, in guilt and rancour; and if they come to you as captives, ye ransom them, though it was not lawful for you to banish them. Then is it only a part of the Book that ye believe in, and do ye reject the rest? but what is the reward for those among you who behave like this but disgrace in this life?- and on the Day of Judgment they shall be consigned to the most grievous penalty. For God is not unmindful of what ye do.

1. Define Kafir.. according to you.. I want to hear it...
2. Define Muslim according to you.. I want to hear it..

Who do you think you are?
You're not a God your labelling / cursing doesn't even scared me..
And please cut it off with your 'self righteous' attitude.. and don't forget to answer my question above.. I have asked it to you before and you haven't answered..

Salam / Peace

And yes it's written as Al-Arabu and not Al-Badawi or Badawiyun..

Mr Ignorant.. I don't see anything where it claim it is the WORD of God?
Or have you gone blind?
And please don't go off-topic here...

Peace jafar.

What can I say to you? Do you  want GOD to come down and speak to you personally ? Through the messenger HE says:

41:44″ If We made it a non- Arabic Koran,( scripture) they would have said why did it come down in that language.( Whatever language GOD chooses, there is always those who want it in a different one? and those who do not believe it is the word of GOD) Whether it is Arabic or non-Arabic ( It happens to be Arabic because the messenger was Arab! GOD sent the Torah in Hebrew, the language of the children of Israel and Jesus spoke Aramaic ,so the Gospel came in Aramaic) Say:” For those who believe, it is a guide and healing; As for those who disbelieve, they will be deaf and blind to it ( Even if they were pure Arabs!) as if they were addressed from far away.” ( Nowadays no language is a barrier! The message is more important than the language! More importantly if GOD is the author, HE guides with HIS words those who choose to be guided?)

41:45″ ( When) We have given Moses ( and Jesus) the scripture , it was also disputed. If it were not for your Lord s predetermined decision, ( To allow you a life to make your decision) they would have been judged immediately. Indeed, they harbour too many doubts.”

Are you sure you checked them verses?

 Peace.

Walekum Salam,  Welcome to the forum!

I can relate very much to your trepidation.  I am fairly new to Islam but my personality and analytical mind have always approached it with a "show me proof" attitude, which inherently means that it will take a long time (if not forever) to understand/read/reflect on the Quran and its meanings.  In the meantime I started to practice salat, fast for Ramadan, go to mosque, etc...but even on the intuitive level I have also felt something was "wrong" with many of the traditions I began to adapt.  For example, I first began using a translated version of the prayer and every time I recited the passages about Mohammed I felt a strange feeling deep in my stomach.  Somehow, I just knew it didn't fit.  And now after joining this forum, I understand that my subconscious was recognizing it as worshiping someone other than God.

I also have a husband who was born Muslim - a Sunni.  We have already had many heated discussions because he takes everything he was taught at face value and I take nothing at face value.  He feels frustrated that I won't allow him to "lead me the right way"  and that "i always need proof."  And I am very anxious as to what his reaction will be now that I have found others who are reinforcing my initial arguments.  If there is anyone who has any advice about how I can make peace with my husband while at the same time sharing my spiritual journey with him, I would be very appreciative.

cellobykasia,

Welcome.  I have absolutely NO advice for you...but I offer my support anytime you need it.  My husband is extremely stubborn, and I know if I told him I was leaning towards rejecting hadith, he would have me on the phone with so many of his other Muslim buddies warning me of the consequences of doing such.

My husband is what I call a "fire and brimstone Muslim", LOL!  He can tell you every place that warns of the hellfire and who is going to burn for what, but mention the mercy and forgiveness of Allah (swt) and he shuts down.  I don't understand why someone would want to worship and serve God when that is all they see in the Quran.  To each his own, though.

I was like your husband when I first came to Islam...I took everything at face value.  Over time, I began to scrutinize much more, and now I just tune out whenever my husband begins to talk about Islam because if I give my opinion, it starts an argument.  I just listen half heartedly to keep peace.

Everyday I make dua that Allah (swt) guides me in the right direction.  That is the best I can do at this point in time.

With peace,

Amina

As Salaam Alaykum.   As my name says, I am scared.  Scared of what I have learned, but feel I have known all along...that a majority of Muslims follow the Prophet Muhammed (saws) over God.  So often I would scratch my head at the "rituals" I was told to perform (like the pointing of the finger during salat, saying "bismillah" when entering the house, asking protection when entering the bathroom, etc.).  It seemed so...I can't seem to find the word today, must be from the fasting  :P.

So I have spent the better part of the day reading up on Qu'ran only Muslims.  I agree with so much of what it says, but am terrified that I will be a kafir for walking away from hadith.  How can something that so many others follow be so wrong?

I guess my answer to that could be equated with how so many Christians observe Christmas and Easter, even though the Bible never says to do it.

I am married with a daughter, my husband came to Islam while incarcerated in prison, even though his father was Muslim (and is also incarcerated).  I am the only Muslim in my family, other than a distant cousin.  I was raised Christian and for a while studied with Jehovahs Witnesses.   Of course, they too commit shirk and once I realized that, I came to Islam.

Please forgive me if I seem shattered...I am terrified...I have no idea what is right anymore.

 :welcome:  :handshake:  :sun:
