This news was announced a while ago:
Some people are actually immune to The HIV virus because of their genetics. They could get the HIV virus but it can't grow in their bodies (stays dormant because it can't latch onto receptors and infect cells = can't enter cells to infect them)
The HIV-infected man received a bone marrow transplant i think, from a person with an immunity to the HIV virus, and now he is more or less immune to the virus as well.
