Salam all together
I'm study 2:196 and don't come further. someone can give me the word for word translation? I read a possible interpretation:

2:196 ... If you are <uh'sir'tum> abstain from sexual intercourse, then it will be easier for the guidance <hadyi>, and do not disturb your heads until you reach the guidance (to be focus).

uhsirtum is perfectl passive, right? but the translation is active, right? furthermore I think the root of استيسر
and the hadyi its a noun, can it be translated with guidance?

i have read the translation in the hajj section and it seems to me very logic (the article about critical thinking) .. but because i'm not arabic speaker , i'm a little confused..
thank you all for the help. Peace :)

Here is word for word from Corpus Quran. http://corpus.quran.com/wordbyword.jsp?chapter=2&verse=196

ISA it may help.  Don't forget to cross reference to verify meanings!

salaam/peace mirjamnur,

If you were referring to this http://www.islam-and-muslims.com/articles/Quran-2196-critical-thinking.html then in it there is a link to http://corpus.quran.com which will help you research the Arabic/grammar etc.

Even though the above is easier to use, failing that, there is always: http://islamusa.org/dictionary.pdf
All information in my posts is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should seek knowledge and verify: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.
