Did the Prophet talk to God?
« on: April 14, 2012, 09:43:02 PM »
I have seen hadiths where it claims the Prophet spoke to God and where God asked him to do certain things, such as finding someone who is better than himself and after he couldn't produce anyone, God stated that if he had brought someone he would strip his title as prophet and remove him from the list of prophets

What is everyones opinion?

He did not.

Salaam hope you all in Peace :sun:

Creator knows Everything, The Wise, The Merciful The Only,  why need a Prophet/S to find something or enlight Him(Creator)
Only Allah knows the unknown.. and aHadith are just fairytales and resumes of fairytales of the desert part of itr from arabya part of it from Persia.. AQ and Allah absolute truth.. Check the signs in Earth and in sky, and insideyourself, Keep your path balenced..

SALAAM :pr
(2:26) Allah is not shy to strike a parable whatsoever a gnat or larger. Those who believe know that it is the truth from their Lord. As for those who disbelieve they ask: 'What could Allah mean by this parable? By it, Allah misleads many and guides many. ' But He misleads none except the evildoers

The Angel of God only spoke to Moses IN FRONT of some million people (ancient Israelis) and everybody heard it collectively, and testified for that. The Qu'ran also gives the testimony for that.

read: "How Most Religions Start"

All the rest are some individuals who claimed that some Angel of God spoke to them, but in intimacy and loneliness, in privacy when they were alone - so, nobody could verified it.
LET GO AND LET GOD!

Thank you and I love you.

Peace begins with me.

Dear Aryan Warrior,
The question " Did the Prophet Muhammad talk to God?". I would like to rephrase the question "Did the Prophet Muhammad communicated with God?",
My answer is YES. I used the word communicated to indicate that the spectrum of information two way transfer between God and the Prophet is wide.
Talking while awake, talking in dreams , talking in a trance et can therefore be taken as talking to to God ( a two way conversation).
In the most simplistic way, the istkharah prayer (solat) is a means of communiaction between a Believer and God. The Believer ask the question (to his or her problem say) during the Solat and then wait for an answer . Here the Believer asked ("talk" to) God, and he gets an answer later in the form of dreams, signs etc.
Of course there are other more direct means. Even in the Quran, God said he will answer a , if he were to ask.
