Salaam Andantino,

Welcome to the forum.

For me these 2 verses were my goodbye to the hadiths.

2:38 We said: "Descend from it all of you, so when the guidance comes from Me, then whoever follows My guidance, they will have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve."
2:39 And those who disbelieve and deny Our ayaats, they are the dwellers of Hell, in it they will abide.

InshaAllah these 2 ayaats will do the same for you as they did for me  :pr

i know, but what do you think about arguments that say "Obey Allah and Obey His Messanger" means we should have faith in Quran and Hadith (Prophet's daily attitude and words and explanation on Quranic verses)

does it means God gave Messangers an authority to make new laws (such as music, drawing, etc) and would be parts of Divine Message?
Salam,

I hope you enjoy.
May Allah increase all our knowlegde and help us become better servants.

I wanted to note on the side that the term quranism is not a correct one if I may say because one who follows quran alone should call themselves muslim see:

And strive in His cause as ye ought to strive, (with sincerity and under discipline). He has chosen you, and has imposed no difficulties on you in religion; it is the cult of your father Abraham. It is He Who has named you MUSLIMS, both before and in this (Revelation); that the Messenger may be a witness for you, and ye be witnesses for mankind! So establish regular Prayer, give regular Charity, and hold fast to Allah! He is your Protector - the Best to protect and the Best to help! 22:78

That offcourse counts for the one who submit to Allah. Further I think quranism gives people the impression that we are just another sect wich we are against because that s also being judged in the quran.

peace

umm, for me 'Quranist' is just a TERM to show Muslims view about Islam.

it will be weird if i ask Q like "i want to ask, according to Muslim, how bla bla bla" it will make me like a non-Muslim questioning about Islam to Muslims :D
Salam Andantino  :welcome:

Inshaa Allah you can increase in your faith of Allah and Quran and become a muslim on Ibrahims path and inshaa Allah this forum will help you not to feel alone in your believe.

Peace!

Salam _Ala_ :)

thank you for your prayer  :yay:
Salaam Andantino,

:welcome: to the forum, inshaAllah you will enjoy your stay here.

My reasons to disbelieve in Hadith are the following aayaats plus what brother Bender said.

1. We ask Allah for guidance to the straight path in 1:6 اِہۡدِ نَا الصِّرَاطَ الۡمُسۡتَقِیۡمَ and Allah answered us in 17:9 ...اِنَّ ہٰذَا الۡقُرۡاٰنَ یَہۡدِیۡ لِلَّتِیۡ ہِیَ اَقۡوَمُ that AlQuraan guides you to that which is straight.

Hence, no need for hadith to me.

2. Allah said in 16:89 that AlKitaab that was sent down explains about everything ...وَ نَزَّلۡنَا عَلَیۡکَ الۡکِتٰبَ تِبۡیَانًا لِّکُلِّ شَیۡءٍ... and nothing is left out of AlKitaab in 6:38 ...مَا فَرَّطۡنَا فِی الۡکِتٰبِ مِنۡ شَیۡءٍ...

What else I need hadith for if everything is already explained in the Book!

3. Allah asked us that don't you ponder in AlQuraan? And if this Book was from anyone other than Allah, we will get maximum contradictions in 4:82 اَفَلَا یَتَدَبَّرُوۡنَ الۡقُرۡاٰنَ ؕ وَ لَوۡ کَانَ مِنۡ عِنۡدِ غَیۡرِ اللّٰہِ لَوَجَدُوۡا فِیۡہِ اخۡتِلَافًا کَثِیۡرًا

This shows me clearly that any book on earth other than the Book of Allah will have maximum contradictions, so what I need hadith for?

Finally, the Book of Allah is more than enough for me  :D

May Allah help you taking right decisions and increase us in knowledge and guide us all to His true path  :pr

Salaam Andantino,

Please read again the verses. What does FROM ME means? What does MY GUIDANCE  means?
Is Bukharie, Muslim etc. “from ME”?
Is hadith “MY GUIDANCE”?

Please also reflect on this verse:
2:8 And from the people are those who say: "We believe in God and in the Last Day," but they are not believers.

Who are these people?  Why does it say “but they are not believers”.
By the way when I say reflect, I don’t mean read what Ibn Kathir wrote. I mean YOU have to reflect.

Please reflect first on this then we can discuss what "Obey Allah and Obey His Messenger" means.

Salaam and may Allah increase us in our knowledge and show us the right way  :pr

I did not ask you to interpret  :nope: I asked you to reflect, that means to me, that I was hoping that you would open The Quran and search for yourself for the answers and reflect on the verses you read.

InshaAllah , I will try to help you a little bit, but keep in mind that this is only how I understand it at this moment. I also advice you to erase everything you learned thus far, clear your mind from every hadith and and other falsehood.

Please just start with chapter 1 and then chapter 2 till you come to 2:8. read all those verses carefully.

2:8 And from the people are those who say: "We believe in God and in the Last Day," but they are not believers.
Are you and me potential candidates? Think about it. Please note that this verse is not talking about atheists or some other groups. But why are they not believers?

The next verses tell you how these people behave, what they say, how they look like and why they are not among the believers. Please read those verses carefully (2:9-2:15). I believe that verse 2:16 sums it up, why they became who they are without even noticing it.

2:16These are the ones who have purchased straying with guidance  their trade did not profit them, nor were they guided.
blue part is referring to my understanding to the people mentioned in 2:8
red part is the why. They purchased straying with guidance and it was a bad trade.

verse 2:17-20 gives examples how this people are. Before you read those verses (2:17-20)  please read first 3:7 and 2:26 and take your own conclusions.

We are now at 2:21
2:21 O people, serve your Lord who has created you and those before you that you may be righteous.
Who do we have to serve? please note the blue part, He did not only created you but also those before you. Is Bukharie created or is he your creator?

2:22 gives some more information about your Lord.
2:22 The One who has made the earth a resting place, and the sky a shelter, and He sent down from the sky water with which He brought out fruits as a gift to you. So do not set up any equals with God while you know.
Did Bukharie do the red part? If you are 100% sure that Bukharie did not THEN please read the blue part very very veeeeeeeeeeeeery carefully. I guess you are one of  the ones who know.

But if you are still in doubt, please read 2:23-24
2:23 And if you are in doubt as to what We have sent down to Our servant, then bring a sura like this, and call upon your witnesses other than God if you are truthful.
2:24 And if you cannot do this; and you will not be able to do this; then beware the Fire whose fuel is people and stones, it has been prepared for the rejecters.

Please read further the next verses and read the story of Adam carefully, it's not there just to tell a story. It's strongly connected to the previous verses you already read.
While you read take a note at verse 2:35

2:35 And We said: "O Adam, reside you and your mate in the paradise, and eat from it bountifully as you both wish, and do not approach this tree, else you will be of those who have wronged."

please read 2:36 to know what happened when Adam took some other guidance.

Similar to 2:35 is said in 2:38-39

2:38 We said: "Descend from it all of you, so when the guidance comes from Me, then whoever follows My guidance, they will have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve."
2:39 And those who disbelieve and deny Our revelations, they are the dwellers of Hell, in it they will abide.

I hope you understand now what the red part means. Please note also that Guidance is singular.
Is “The Quran and hadith”  singular?

Salaam and may Allah increase us in knowledge and lead us to His Path,
Bender
