Egyptians may sue Jews over the Exodus

CAIRO, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- A dean at Egypt's University of Al-Zaqaziq is preparing a lawsuit against "all the Jews of the world," accusing them of stealing gold during the exodus.

The university's dean of law, Nabil Hilmi, told the Egyptian weekly newspaper Al-Ahram Al-Arabi the Jews during the exodus "stole from the Pharaonic Egyptians gold, jewelry, cooking utensils, silver ornaments, clothing and more ..." The Aug. 9 newspaper report was translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute and posted on its Web site Thursday.

Asked why cooking utensils might have been taken, Hilmi said "... this had been the Jews' twisted way throughout history; they seek to cause a minor problem connected with the needs of everyday life so as to occupy people with these matters and prevent them from pursuing them to get back the stolen gold ..."

Hilmi said the "debt" could be rescheduled over 1,000 years, with the addition of the cumulative interest during that period

What is this dean of the university trying to base his lawsuit on, on history or on the Scripture. Is there a historical or religious account that contradicts the Bible with regards to the Exodus episode?

It was the complete destruction of the Egyptian military, rather than the loss of some kitchen utensils, that allowed the former slaves to make their way to freedom.


If university dean is going to base his lawsuit on Scripture, he will have to try to defend his claim against Scripture, as well. He can start with explaining how the significant pursuit of the fleeing Hebrews was dealt with...by God.

If Egypt will continue with thier lawsuit, then Egypt is admitting that they held the Jews hostage for 400 years !

The Jews can then file a countersuit against Egypt! The Jews were not paid a cent, that plus punitive damages. And the Jews or Israel can also file wrongful death lawsuits for all the Jews that died while in captivity. Also in the later part of Exodus, a promise was made to Moses and tothe people of Israel about certain lands that would far exceed the modern boudaries of Israel at the present. How about that? Is Egypt ready to get this kind of countersuit. I don't think so.

Let Egypt file the lawsuit and we will see who will come up ahead.
My money is on Isarael and Moses and the Jews.
